What's Your Favorite Basketball Website? (besides this one, of course)
Hey y'all.
I've become quite an obsessive basketball fan since moving to Portland in the summer of '08 (and subsequently moving in the summer of '09 to Las Vegas once more), having always enjoyed the NBA but really falling head over heels for the Trail Blazers. I've been a member of BlazersEdge for a little over a year (I believe), and I have always appreciated the intelligent conversation and the amount of work that goes into this site, both by those running it and the fans much like myself. I try to put in an occasional interesting idea or newest tidbit, but for the most part I just read and enjoy as there are quite a few fans more keen than I on the happenings of the Blazers and the NBA in general.
Now, my question is this: What is your favorite site to keep up with the newest bits of information on the NBA, or just your favorite NBA site in general with the most intelligent conversation, or just the wittiest write-ups?
As far as I'm concerned, there are quite a few good sites out there, such as Yahoo Sports, Real GM, ESPN, and Twitterers such as Marc Spears, J.A. Adande, and John Hollinger. But what sites am I overlooking, who has that something special that I have not stumbled upon yet?
Please collectively assemble any and all NBA sites or whatnot you can think of that will give me a leg up on all other fanbases. At the very least, I can wholeheartedly say that this is the most well-executed basketball fansite I have ever been privy to, and it's something I check and will continue to check on a daily basis.

They always get news fast and stuff other sites lookover.

Agreed with rotoworld above
i also like busersports.com
and for fantasy bball or player values/statistics i also like basketballmonster.com
I use basketball-reference.com for stats
But in terms of news and analysis, I like TrueHoop and Ball Don’t Lie. BDL is a one-stop shop, whereas TrueHoop focuses on small interesting things, leaving the analysis of big events to its team network.
If I had to choose one other blog, it would probably be BDL – they just have a large quantity of content.
You can measure skill and talent with your eyes, but productivity is shown through statistics.
ball don't lie
is the perfect mix of serious basketball talk and a lot of funny, behind the scenes, off the wall stuff, like the 1992 blazers cookbook
i am lazy, and go to espn
but when i need some awesome data, I go to basketball-reference
Michael Jordan is the Nicolas Batum of America

I tend to follow a few teams besides the Blazers.
Not quite as well, but I like to keep tabs on them. And since I like to root for the underdog, I’ve grown to like the Kings and Bucks the last few years. And www.sactownroyalty.com and www.brewhoop.com are both fun places to visit for team-centric news. And StR has a good community down there.
But I don’t know what I’m going to do. Both of those teams look to be on the rise. At least I’ll always have the Clippers.
"[S]ince men enjoyed very great leisure, they used it to pursue many kinds of commodities unknown to their fathers, and that was that first yoke they placed upon themselves without thinking about it, and the first source of evils the prepared for their descendants. For, besides continuing thus to soften body and mind, as these commodities had lost almost all their pleasantness through habit, and as they had at the same time degenerated into true needs, being deprived of them became much more cruel than possessing them was sweet; and people were unhappy to lose them without being happy to have them." -Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Wow!
I hadn’t checked Brewhoop comments in a while ,since a few months ago they had none. But dang in a community didn’t pop up over there! Good for them! The site has great contributors, so to have people there is good.

hoopshype for the rumors, 82 games for stats, ESPN for highlights, truehoop for when I'm bored of the Sedge, and here.
"What people need to know is that those pictures were taken a year and a half ago, and I've grown since then." - Greg Oden
Seriously guys?
Some of the most intelligent basketball fans in the country and nobody has yet said
Check it out, read the articles, and you’ll see why one of their writers just got hired full-time to work for CBS.sportsline.
