While there is a lot of worry on this site (understandably) about becoming a perennial 1st-round-exit squad if Oden does not pan out, I can't help but think that Atlanta has a chance of taking this role in the eastern conference. After offering Joe Johnson, a guy who is just one dimension away from being a legit cornerstone $119 million I can't help but feel a tiny bit better about our roster flexibility. To be clear, I like watching Atlanta and wish them well, but spending 35% of the cap on one player (not named lebron, melo, cp3, etc) seems foolish.
