Rip City Project's Couper Moorhead Takes Talents To South Beach
Big time congratulations are in order for Couper Moorhead, who has been a premier voice in the Portland Trail Blazers community for years on Rip City Project, where he posted as "Coup".
Moorhead, who also wrote Boston Celtics game recaps this past season for NBA.com, is heading to Miami as a writer for the Heat's official website. As he wrote last night, he accepted the job offer not knowing whether Dwyane Wade would be in town, let alone LeBron James or Chris Bosh. It's fair to say that Coup was the first domino to fall for Pat RIley.
Moorhead also says he's looking for writers to take over Rip City Project. Contact them if interested.

Huge Loss
Coup was the only reason I read and commented over there. I’m not sure I can follow him to the Heat blog though.
Is the title of this...
…a play on Bill Simmon’s Mail Bag from last week:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100722/mailbag1
(pst.. Search For South Beach – lol)
I think Ben is just playing off what LeBron said.
And Simmons merely noted how popular the phrase would become. I don’t think Ben necessarily read that post.
Gonna Miss You, Coup!
It is sure going to be a fun year for you, getting to write daily about the most watched and talked-about team in the NBA. Best wishes and have fun!
