Congrats to Steve Blake

Say what you want about Blake but this years champions finding him talented enough to give him a 4 year deal is quite an accomplishment for the work he has put in. Noone thought he would survive in the NBA but here he is at age 30 getting a really nice deal from the current number 1 team in the NBA.

How many minutes do you see Blake playing next year? What will his role be? And are you going to root for him even though he plays for the lakers? (not when he is playing us ofcourse)

I vote for option 5:

Why the Lakers Blake??!! I could have rooted for you anywhere you went, but not there… ANYWHERE BUT THERE!!!

Good for him I guess, but his soul is now forever tainted.

don't be so quick to judge.

maybe he’s working under cover…a mole…a double agent…

"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."

-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.

"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."

-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

Congratulations Steve Blake

your wife is hot, you’re 8 figures rich…

Now, as soon as I see you in faker uni, the residual warm feelings I had for you will begin to fade and may end up as loathing.

Watch yourself, buddy. You’re officially on notice.

Good for Steve.

He works hard, keeps his mouth shut, and has got more out of limited physical skills than a huge number of similarly blessed basketball players, going back to his days at Maryland winning the NCAA.

Good for Steve Blake.

No Blazer "deserves" the horrible hell of L*ker-dumb

But I wish Steve well on the Dark Side.

I'm gonna handle it like this:

I hope in every game against the blazers, Steve Blake goes off for a triple double, while the rest of the Lakers can’t find their shot and the blazers win by 30.

if any Blazer deserves success

it’s Steve Blake. I really can’t believe all the negative things people are saying, he played his heart out for the team, even after being stabbed traded the Blazers, he came back and did a good job. Then he gets stabbed traded again. Good for him, it’s nice to see a good player who deserves to get paid, get paid, even if it is the L*kers.

I expect he’ll shine in the triangle.

I agree with #7TheNatural though.

I don't see anybody saying anything negative about Steve

Except we hate the L@kers and now he is one. We didn’t want it to be this way, because now it is going to be very difficult to root for him. Except CleBlazer, apparently he hated Steve before now.

He'll be the only L*ker

I wont make an obscene hand gesture at when they come to the Rose Garden. So to that, I congratulate you Blakey

Congrats Steve!

Now there’s 2 L#kers I like (Pau and Steve) while the rest of the team can go away. As much as I loath the L#kers for the most part I think the fact that they’ve been to the finals the last 3 yars and won 2 out of those times speaks for itself in terms of how good they are. I knew he’s get picked up by a good team (a playoff contending team at least) but his chances of winning a ring just went up dramatically. We’ll be there at somepoint in the near future too … just too unsure of things at this time to really believe it’ll be this year.

Good fit, good for him

Steve will do great in the triangle and now might win a ring for being a team guy. Good for him.

if we get cp3

i think the shot of us contending with them goes up dramatically. even without cp3 and a healthy 82 game season from old man oden we would have a shot. with both..bl*ke wont be getting any rings..
