at last a good move by the front office albeit three years too late
Comcast has shown that they are not capable of handling a monopoly. They don’t deserve to get larger and screw over even more customers.
They couldn't do this earlier.
They only have an opportunity because of the proposed merger. (The real time to address this should have been before they signed the contract.)
Disclaimer: everything I know about basketball I learned on Blazersedge.
it was still pretty dumb to give a 10 year contract...
so much happens in 10 years….

I hate Comcast for broadcasting the summer league games in HD.
I could be outside mowing the lawn, refinishing the deck, and hauling loads of barkdust up and down the hills in my yard. Instead, I’m inside drinking beer, watching basketball on a 100" screen, and trying not to get chilled from too much air-conditioning. Yeah, I hate Comcast.

I feel sincerely sorry for anyone that doesn't live in an area covered by Comcast,
or one of the 11 other providers that pay a reasonable rate to carry CSNNW.
What I dislike are people blaming Comcast for this problem. What price did DirecTV offer to pay Comcast to broadcast CSNNW? What Northwest Sports Channel is owned by the parent company of DirecTV and broadcast in the Northwest instead of CSNNW (while Comcast Sports channels are broadcast by DirecTV in other parts of the US)? The answers to those questions will tell you who’s most to blame in this fiasco.

I think Miller and the Blazers are desparate for some good PR.
"He's not your Vydas or my Vydas, he's Arvydas."
Note...
The letter was filed three days prior to the draft. While I’m sure they knew that they would need some positive PR, if they had done this to seek that positive PR, don’t you think someone (Miller) would have brought this up in one of the radio interviews he has done since KP was fired?
In a conversation with Canzano on the BFD (not a typo), Miller said that they are continuing to work on the Comcast situation and hope to reach resolution soon. This would have been the PERFECT time to bring up this letter. Yet he didn’t. He was content to know that he is in fact working on it and hope that people would trust his word on it.
I don’t particularly care for Miller, but I do think he handled this properly by not trying to use it as a billboard for what a great job he’s doing. He did not try to spin this into a positive PR thing when the opportunity to do so was right there.

It's amazing...
…that it’s taken THIS long (3 years) for the Blazers management to see that 2/3rds of their fanbase are seriously unhappy. Either they’re desperate for some good PR as Petro4Three says or they’re just plain greedy and dumb. I vote for the later… Down with Comcast!
it hasn't taken *THIS* long. they just didn't have much taht they could do.
they now have an avenue to file a formal complaint
Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".
...no seriously--stop.
