Carmelo Anthony Trade?
Apparently if he turns down this 3 year $65 million extension, he could be had for the right price. Highly doubt they'd consider trading him within the division, though.

since he is already an expiring, they would want talent instead of expirings

I don't think the "within the division" part is the sticking point
I think the “Carmelo Anthony Trade?” part is.
Marcus Camby was gaining energy again as the game wound to a close, much like a vampire sucking the life out of a dainty maiden. Amare Stoudemire, on the other hand, looked daintier and more maidenly with every possession.
But I was saying
if Melo were on the market, the Nuggets would likely be hesitant to trade him to a team in the Northwest division. Again, if he was getting shopped, which I and everyone else realizes is probably unlikely
