I'm not clear on what you're trying to say.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.

huh?
Elitism - It's lonely at the top. But it's comforting to look down upon everyone at the bottom.

Are you trying to imply that losing to the Thunder is easier than losing to the Supersonics?
"We Believe" - Rudy Fernandez
Yea this is really confusing...Could be that 3 hours of econometrics i just did tho...
GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEG OOOOOOOOOOOOOODEEEEEEEEEN
A few things
1. What happened to Seattle was and is terrible. The NBA holding cities hostage is and always will be reprehensible. Same with any sports league or corporation for that matter.
2. It would really, really suck if we went through another season like the last and frankly it can not be any fun for to follow a team if you are planning on catastrophe as you seem to be.
3. In terms of the Oden, Durant pick the Sonics/Thunder did not make the better decision, they made the only choice they had left. I might feel outmaneuvered or disgruntled had the Sonics duped us into something, but all they did was make the only choice left in front of them, A NO BRAINER at that point.
4.Besides, they likely would have chosen Oden had they been in our position.
5. Interestingly enough the injury situation has not been great for Portland or many teams in the league, it is part of the game. Webster missed a full season, we had what 6 or 7 guys miss 1/3 or more of this last season. The Thunder are just fortunate it has barely happened to them last season.
6. I love THIS team. I am rooting for THESE players. If you want to shower your fandom love on our opponents and division rivals feel free, that is your choice. DO NOT expect Blazer fans to join you.

Bad Business Move
Clay took a franchise out of a top 10 city. OKC fans will not show up if that team starts to play poorly. If KD goes down, and he is wirey, the games will have more crickets in the stands than people. Seattle fans would have been there, and had been. It was sad, and a bad business decision. Eventually, a new facility would have been built if Clay would have put the money up. It was poor timing, Seattle had just paid for 2 facilities for their other franchises.
Cleveland built Gund Arena (the Q now) and Jacob's Field
That is why Modell moved the Browns. Owners are egomaniacs, bruise that and they take their toys and go elsewhere and these teams are not much more than toys to them. Sure there are exceptions, but, if the Browns can be moved over this sort of thing any team can.

I don't disagree with the Clay haters
but I do disagree about OKC fans showing up for that team. They were top 10 attendance the two years the Hornets were based out of OKC after Katrina, and those Hornets teams were sub-500 teams both years.

I'm not sure I really understand the premise...
are you asking if I would be happier if instead of Seattle being robbed of their team they were to beat us in the conference finals, with our team being in a continual state of injury?
no but considering legnth of season id trade 10 blazer games in seattle for 20 mariner games in portland
put that on the new gm list
Seattle had their team stolen from them...
Imagine if that had happened with the Blazers. What Clay Bennett did will never be a good thing.
Call Brandon Roy by his real nicknames: The Natural and Roybot. Lets put an end to "B-Roy"
Me No Understand?
You speak funny words.
I’m assuming you are advancing the idea that the transplanting of The Sonics and Durant to OKC somehow might lessen the impact if The Blazers ever lose a big series to OKC?
Doesn’t matter to me. Even if in an alternate universe where The Sonics still exist and are led by Durant….you have to beat, whom you have to beat- to be the best.
If The Blazers lost a final series to a Seattle led Durant team it would be no less or more painful to me than losing to an OKC led Durant team.
Bottom line? I’m a Blazer fan. If we go to the finals? I want us to win, regardless of who we are playing.
"Mother Nature started this fight, I think it's about time we ended it!"
amen brother
all this pining for our oppositions players sickens me. Durant is the enemy. Quit singing his praises. everytime we play him I want him to feel humiliated at how badly we beat him. I do not dream of the day he wins the WCFs over us. We will destroy them in any WCF we play them in.
All this hemming and hawing about what could have been serves no purpose other than distract you from supporting the team we have in front of us. These guys have delivered a great product to us and all anybody in the Durant camp can seem to do is ignore all the great things this team has done and will do on the court and for our community.
