Salmons will be available this summer
Any interest, and is he going to be available with the MLE?

The Slammin Salmon
Too bad we don’t have Trout anymore. Then we could have had a nice fish dinner.
I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
Banning "chat speak" is like banning apostrophes. There would be no "you're" if some punk kid in the 1700s hadn't been a rebel.
What??????
Michael Redd isn’t opting out? This is unbelievable!

If we were going to use the MLE
Salmons would be a good option. Especially if we lose Rudy and/or Marty. I’m still not convinced any of the MLE guys are worth paying luxury tax for, though.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.

adding Salmons or Miller as a backup 2/3
relegating Rudy and Martell to trade fodder or benchwarmer status, would be a huge upgrade for us, and worthy of the MLE contract (of course I’m not paying the tax…)
"I want to be traded to a contender" is almost always code-speak for "I'm a loser."

That gives me an idea.
If you offered to pay the tax, I bet PA would go for it.
Disclaimer: everything I know about basketball I learned on Blazersedge.
I think MIller is more feasible to acquire with the MLE than Salmons
and Salmons is more feasible than Ray Allen
it’s the right “kind” of target to be looking at, though. As long as Salmons would agree to be the Blazer’s 6th man
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Pretty sure John has mentioned he wants more than the MLE.
I forget where I read this but he’s mentioned opting-out before.
Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
That's terrific for him
For years I’ve been publicly asking for a job with no time commitment and a salary of no less than 7 figures.
I think both John and I will be disappointed this summer.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
What I'm saying is that depending on how the FA market turns out he may not be looking at teams like us
and may hold out to get a better contract on a team that with start him.
Being a Blazer fan is not exactly healthy.
Do you mean a better contract or a team that will start him?
It is quite possible he’ll find a team that wants to start him, but I’ll be shocked if he gets a contract worth more than the MLE. In fact, aside from us not getting Paul, Lebron, Bosh or Wade, that’s one of the few things I’d bet on this off season. Storyteller’s post about feast or famine is very likely right on. Some guys are going to get “paid like out of this world,” (sorry Travis) but Salmons isn’t one of those guys. Almost everyone else is going to sign for MLE money or quite a bit less.
Still on the Rex bandwagon.
Salmons will likely swim...
to ATL to replace Joe Johnson, who will likely end up in NYC w/Amare.
I love would love to see Salmons come here
Love Marty, but I would ditch him if it means we get this guy. Plays decent D and sure can create for himself,
