Freeman: Nate McMillan Remains Fixated On Improving Shooting

102
Joe Freeman writes that the month since exit interviews hasn't changed Nate McMillan's mind: He still wants better shooters. ---------------------- "If you look at the playoffs, that’s what it comes down to," McMillan said. You have to be able to shoot the ball, pretty much, at every (position) to be able to compete." ---------------------- McMillan also wistfully recalls the great Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw era. Oh dear. An empowered General Manager to step in and provide some perspective would be great right about now. Potential shooters to target on draft night: Luke Babbitt, Paul George and (the more difficult to obtain) Wesley Johnson. If I'm Rudy Fernandez, I take these statements as a vote of "no confidence" in my abilities and I politely request a trade. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
