Maybe
we’ll see Blake Griffin.
Does anyone know if there will be TV this year? I got to get me some Thabeet.
I'm considering going down there for the week.
Although the dates come at a pretty bad time. I could use some sun.

If Nate didn't think Kaleb could do the job, he could've asked Bill Bayno
and it’s not like McMillian won’t be in Vegas overseeing all the action. Along with his “new” assistant coaches, probably

Hey now...
Erik Spolestra went from Jesuit High to Miami Heat video coordinator to head coach in the playoffs. Pat Riley’s threat to pull a Steve Jobs on Spolestra notwithstanding, there’s no particular reason to dis on “video guys” as a class.
Like the Whos down in Whoville they did it without boxes or ribbons or bows, they did without centers or posting down low. They won without All-Stars and Spaniards and Frenchmen. They won with old geezers and sub-par defense-men. They won playing rookies from deep off the benches. They won with their grit and their guts in the trenches. And some who observed them have been known to say that their hearts grew three sizes (at least!) on the way. One hopes with their poise and their passion now proven that once they are healthy their game will be groovin'.

I thought I heard that Mills was on the SL roster
but definitely no to all of the other “Euros”
and there’s no connection re: Jeter being back for another run. If Pooh is with Portland again it would be a random event

never mind
Born said earlier today that they’re going to make Patty a qualifying offer and see what he and his agent decide
I wouldn’t even offer Mills the QO, but that’s me

Beware the MN juggernaut on July 17th.
The Wolves have a passel of draft choices, and they’re already committed to sending Jonny Flynn and Wayne Ellington from their active roster. Invincible Vegas winning machine!

that's what we thought about the Blazers, in 2007
didn’t work out that way
the Blazers scouts have put together some deplorable SL rosters over the last few years. I’m not sure if Born and Buchanan will survive the KP purge, but it’s hard to imagine anyone new not improving on the talent for this year’s Vegas squad, compared to 2008-2009’s dreck
not counting the draft choices, of course…just all of the FA fodder was either stiffs, non-scorers, or both

I saw Chris Bosh look like a stiff after his rookie season.
The Raptors were having him work on his outside game, and he spent the SL shooting threes during practice.
The hand wringing over Bayless last summer for you guys, too – case in point. It’s like that Inigo Montoya moment: they’re fighting left-handed, but they know they’re not. ;-)

That was legit. Jerryd really struggled running the offense, even though he had Cunningham and Pendergraph and a bunch of stiffs and non-scorers. It was painfully obvious when Prunty gave the reins to Jeter how much better Pooh was at the point that Bayless with the same roster. (Nate was interviewed and said that “we’ll have to find ways to emphasize Jerryd’s strengths…” during one of the games.) To top it off, right after Rex’ SL struggles the Blazers signed Andre Miller, and along with Blake at PG that signalled the end of the Bayless PG experiment for the beginning of the 2009 season.
Then there was talk about playing Rudy and Rex together during the preseason, so Fernandez could play “PG” on offense. But Rudy came into camp with a bad back and that combo never happened, at least not until late February. Bayless was DNP-CD for the first 5 games of the season, and only got off the bench after Nate shifted to the 3-guard starting lineup. Injuries to Rudy and Roy gave #4 his big opportunity, and he showed steady improvement from Dec-April, to the extent that he was Portland’s 2nd best guard during the Sun’s series (Roy was hurt, Rudy was dreck)
