For one simple reason.  There is no insurance for Greg Oden.  If Camby couldn't get us out the 1st round,  having Joel isn't gonna take us too much further.  We don't need insurance.  We need Greg Oden.  if he goes down with another serious injury next year, we've got bigger problems to worry about than who the third string center is.  Joel Pryzbilla or Joel Freeland, what does it matter?

Truthfully, I'd rather see Freeland here.  If Greg doesn't get hurt then we don't really need a third string center, especially one who makes 8mil.  If Greg does get hurt we need to start thinking about who our center going forward is, and I would like to see what Freeland can do.  Plus, I think bringing Freeland over sends a clear message to Oden.  We need him.  He has to get it together, but we're not gonna wait forever.
