NBA All-Defensive Team
I think Kobe getting first team is a joke. Artest is the one that always matches up with the other team's best player. Also, Josh Smith should have been on the first team and Bogut got robbed.

Extra money for G Wallace and J Smith
Each had an incentive in their contract for making the All-Defensive squad.
However, the amount of salary that counts for each against the cap also goes up next year since those incentives are now labelled as ‘likely’. Puts the Hawks and the Bobcats just a bit further over the cap….

NBA alldefensive team is half a joke. Lebron & Kobe? Don't belong. Howard and Smith? Are rightly there.
In Bayless I trust.

Absolutely agree
Also Anderson freaking Varejao? Umm, am i missing something?
Varejao: 76gms 28.5mpg 7.6rpg(2.5off) .93spg .88bpg 8.6ppg? I understand he probly defends well overall, I.E. Nic, but i can not remember i guy with such little statistical impact making all all def team.
On the other hand, Marcus Camby: (portland only totals, clipper stats are nearly identical)23gms 31mpg 11.1rpg 1.1spg 2.0bpg 7ppg, and Mr. Camby defends the best of them. I guess i just will never understand the national media.

who guarded durant in the playoffs? artest
you cant be on the all defensive team if you dont guard the other team’s best player.
should be:
hoard
smith
wallace
?
rondo
Michael Jordan is the Nicolas Batum of America
team>players
Kobe took over Westbrook, who had more of an impact for the Thunder
And made his life pretty difficult in game 6. Besides, it’s a regular-season award.
they always mess this thing up...
It should be…
Rondo
Thabo
Batum/Crash/Josh Smith
Bogut
Howard
Bat88m
I like Batum, but don't think he deserves consideration this year.
Whether for his injury, or otherwise, he has not been as good as last year.
Still an amazing defender, don’t get me wrong… just not All 1st Team level.
Oh, and I criticize because I think other than that, your list is perfect.
In Bayless I trust.

Yeah I was leaning more towards Smith or Wallace.
But I think Batum has done a great job this year so figured I’d put him on there ( I expect him to establish as the best perimeter defender in the NBA next year ) so I think he’ll be there this time next year.

bogut is a center
they are only allowed 1 center

I don’t care what position he wants to be known as (or his team markets him as). Duncan is and always has been a classic center.
"I want to be traded to a contender" is almost always code-speak for "I'm a loser."

It's two guards, two forwards, 1 center
Bogut has to be better than Howard to make first team. They really should make it 1 point, two wings, and two posts, then Howard and Bogut would both, rightfully, make first.
Why Anderson Varejao?
I just don’t understand why he make it to the All-Defensive team. Sure, he is solid, but isn’t Camby more suitable? Camby is averaging 11.8 reb (2nd among NBA), 2.0 blk (5th among NBA) and the help defense also. I bet Lebron James has to do a lot with the selection. Why no love for Camby? I bet you Lebron will be the Defensive Player of the Year next year, then he will get every individual awards except the NBA rings, hahaha!!!
Rip City, Baby!!!!!!
Batum, Boom Sagalaga
I don't know who you are but I agree.
All Vare-joke does is flop. If flopping were a stat, he would be # 1 in the NBA. If there was a stat for the number of times a guy was annoying on the court, he would lead that category too. Varejao is Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons on steroids. See you in class on tuesday—what—I mean—good day to you kind sir…
