So I am depressed..Blazers offseason...lousy weather....stupid non-compelling NBA playoffs....baseball on. Urg! I should just do a fanpost....has anyone done one about Roy-centric ISO offense lately? Maybe I could talk about Oden and his injuries ...and his poor mental attitude ...or maybe his rehab schedule? The topic of the day....the draft ...is lame and boring. I don't watch Lost ...or baseball....so half the JD is "z" fodder. I have been working on my yard until this week when the weird weather started. I am not really sure why I am telling you all this...other than I require 75 words for a new Junk Drawer.

I just re-read a Novel called The Concrete Blonde (1994). I had forgotten how much I like the central character, an LAPD Homicide Detective named Harry Bosch (full name Hieronymus Bosch, named after the 15th century Dutch artist). He is jaded, cynical and some-what unscrupulous...but when working a case, is a man on a mission.  He reminds me a little bit of a Raymond Chandler character set in a contemporary setting. In this case he is on trial for a wrongful death case where he shot and killed suspected serial killer dubbed the Doll Maker....when another body is discovered that strongly resembles a Doll Maker victim. Good Stuff. I would recommend it, if anyone is interested.
