I'm a Suns fan

And I’ll admit that was some acting there. That Amare “elbow” on Batum, though … come on, guys.

lol

SOME acting?

I didn’t see the Batum incident, but really, was Amare trying to earn himself a career in filmmaking after this series? That was hilarious! Making sure the refs see it, I suppose.

acting?

hell the guy looked like he was trying to steal 2nd base! lol

nothing more.

You came clean. Much respect to you. I’m just in an argumentative mood ATM.

No doubt it's a flop...

…but Howard was giving him a tough-guy chest bump. I think Amaré made a smart play and got his team the ball back. Now if the refs don’t call the foul that’s hilarious and Amaré looks pretty stupid. That’s basketball…

by bmxican on Apr 26, 2010 11:40 AM PDT up reply actions

you had the ball

Howard absorbed contact. Ridiculous call, no justification

rec'd

That’s hilarious.

Marcus Camby was gaining energy again as the game wound to a close, much like a vampire sucking the life out of a dainty maiden. Amare Stoudemire, on the other hand, looked daintier and more maidenly with every possession.

Actually i'm not sure TNT showed the Amar'e elbow.

But consider this. It was a dead ball, Nic is standing still. Amar’e has anywhere on the entire court to walk 10 feet with his elbows up to readjust his glasses. Nic’s standing in front of him.

If it was pure coincidence as you suggest – I guess that I just have more respect for your professional athlete’s hand-eye coordination than you do.

Either way – Amar’e won the ‘exchange’. Nic should have dove for the floor and acted like he got sniped from the 16th row like Amar’e did against Juwan.

Maybe I'll give you

That Amare gave a little hump instead of walking around him. You see players bump up against each other all the time on the court, a little “you’re in my way” intimidation bump. But saying it was an intentional elbow aimed at his ailing shoulder? I think that’s way overboard.

by jburning on Apr 26, 2010 11:39 AM PDT up reply actions

I agree man

humping and bumping are cool.

by Escrote on Apr 26, 2010 11:41 AM PDT up reply actions

Batum wasn't standing still...

I’ve watched the video a few times now and I don’t think it was as unintentional as Amaré says. However, I do think Batum overreacted. How bad could it have hurt him if he instantly pushes Amaré with both arms afterward? Both teams complain… both teams take “cheap” shots. It’s a bunch of guys playing a competitive sport, trying to give their team the advantage. Good stuff. I’m excited for tonights game.

by bmxican on Apr 26, 2010 11:43 AM PDT up reply actions

Come on, friend, that was TOTALLY intentional.

Proof is how Stoudemire traipsed away like a little kid after Batum pushed him. If it had been inadvertant Amare would’ve been up in Nic’s face after the shove. But that’s playoff basketball. Batum’s gotta be smarter and not take the bait. What if the game had been 2-3 points closer? It could’ve been a crucial point lost.

What's the deal with old man strength?

Like, when do you get it? Growing up I always remember my dad had it. I’m almost 30 now, and I still don’t got it, but I’m hoping it’s genetic and that it’ll show up one of these days …

You should always have it over your younger brother or kids, I think that’s a rule.

How can you feel like a man after this?

I guess this is why Amare tucks his manhood between his legs while in the locker room.
