assuming roy can't go in the playoffs

it seems to me that nate macmillan's job just got a lot harder with this new injury to roy.   roy's career should not be risked, on any level, in order to put him on the court for the playoffs.  that said, macmillan needs to tighten his rotation and extend minutes for his starters, especially miller and camby.   miller has been playing far and away the lowest minutes of his career, thus far.

so who do we start at the off guard, and how should substitution patterns change?   i really like the idea of a miller, camby, aldridge, batum and  webster at the 2 lineup.   however, with the way macmillan substitutes, it leaves an incredibly weak 2nd unit.  how about we start miller, camby, batum, aldridge and bayless at the 2?   at the 8 min mark,  miller comes out and bayless switches to the point and rudy comes in at the 2.  at about the same time, we rotate in webster for batum and 2 minutes later howard for camby.   aldridge and bayless play entire quarter.

miller comes in for bayless at start of second quarter with rudy remaining at the 2, and cunningham comes in for aldridge.  batum and camby come back in 2-3 minutes into the 2nd quarter, and aldridge after a 4 minute blow.  when batum comes back in webster switches to the 2 and rudy comes out.  miller plays entire 2nd qtr,  and bayless comes back in with 4 minutes left, with webster sitting.   webster and rudy minutes are basically decided by who they have to defend, and how each man is playing after the forementioned substitutions.  of course, foul trouble for any player will change the pattern.

with similar patter in the second half minutes would be distributed like this (roughly)  miller 36-40. aldridge 40, camby 36-40, batum 32-36, bayless  32, webster  24+, rudy 12-20, howard 8-12, and cunningham 8.   these numbers don't add up exactly obviously.

would appreciate thoughts, and obvious criticisms of something i missed.  obviously, i seem to see something in bayless that others might not.  it seems to me that bayless, paired with miller, gets one a better bayless.  the other benefit is bayless can share duty of bring ball up the court, giving miller a break and ability to stay on court longer.  bayless probably gets 3-4 uncontested layups if he moves well.
