4-11 Good-Loven, Junk-Loven
One one thing more eternal than "BEAT LA" and that's the special thing that mommies and daddies do when they are very much in love and alone and in the dark late at night and ... well, kiddies, you get the idea.
Much like that late night cuddle-fest, I will be creeping out of bed pre-dawn to gaze into my loving computer at my beloved Portland Trail Blazers as they stomp those stupid purple and yellow guys from Smogsville.
So, Blazer buddies, help me junk it up.
Give me some humor for the 3:30am (Hong Kong time) tip.
Funniest joke you know that can be printed here?
i once co-hosted a radio show in Olympia for a few years where we would do a call in question period. One quiz was the strangest place you ever made whooopy!
Man, there was one coffee shop bathroom that saw a lot of action, as did the K Records warehouse. Seriously.
There. Junk.

That looks like an odd play situation

BRoy's record vs. the Lakers in Staples:
1-2 (one of the losses was the 65 pt outburst by Kome, and the other was the season opener last season).
That’s it. He has only played 3 games in three seasons until today.
Overall record vs. the Lakers: 6-2.
Career stats: 21pts, 4rebs, 8asts, 1stl, 45% FG
our last win in LA
was consequently that one win BRoy had @ Staples: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore;ylt=AiXt8Yn5VdZO5FBUfVs0VNYPaB4?gid=2007022113
Tomorrow's game is off the board
Presumably due to whether Kobe is ready to deliver another pattented 8-30 shooting game against us again.

Hahaha
I don’t think I’m worried about looking silly anymore. I just got a 5th person to quit midway through the game. I was having a dunkathon on him. PLUS, it was the team BRP is gonna be.
This guy was real bad though, he iso’d everything and shot a lot of 3s trying to catch up. He quit at halftime, I was up 46 to 19.

OH C'MON
This guy just gave me a negative rating and wrote a comment saying I was a horrible opponent. JUST BECAUSE I SMOKED HIM.
I stopped trying to steal the ball because I felt bad for him, and even played Pachulia the whole 2nd quarter. Come on, ya baby.

The joys of online gaming
That’s why I always want good singleplayer campaigns in my games. Cooperation modes for 2-4 players and big online campaigns are nice add-ons, but if I can’t have fun playing a game alone it’s pretty stupid.
Smack talk him
Rate him the lowest and say that he was the worst player you’ve ever faced.

Good game. I was the Hawks and he was the Lakers. Kobe is unstoppable in this game. He just went to him over and over. I hate Bibby.

Since Y5K wanted to have funny jokes, those were the best in some online poll by a researcher in the UK. They have been passed around a lot so you probably know them already. I could post some from Reader's Digest too ;)
Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn’t seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, “My friend is dead! What can I do?”. The operator says “Calm down. I can help. First, let’s make sure he’s dead.” There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says "OK, now what?
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, and after finishing their dinner they retire for the night, and go to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend.
“Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.” “I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” exclaims Watson. “And what do you deduce from that?” Watson ponders for a minute. “Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?” “Watson, you idiot!” He exclaims, “Somebody’s stolen our tent!”
A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: “That’s the ugliest baby that I’ve ever seen. Ugh!” The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: “The driver just insulted me!” The man says: “You go right up there and tell him off – go ahead, I’ll hold your monkey for you.”
I read that exact article before

Here are some more that different countries found funny
An Alsatian went to a telegram office, took out a blank form and wrote:
"Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof. Woof."
The clerk examined the paper and politely told the dog: "There are only nine words here. You could send another ‘Woof’ for the same price."
"But," the dog replied, "that would make no sense at all."
People from The Republic of Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand expressed a strong preference for jokes involving word plays, such as:
Patient: "Doctor, I’ve got a strawberry stuck up my bum."
Doctor: "I’ve got some cream for that.
Americans and Canadians much preferred gags where there was a sense of superiority – either because a person looked stupid, or was made to look stupid by another person, such as:
Texan: "Where are you from?"
Harvard grad: "I come from a place where we do not end our sentences with prepositions."
Texan: "Okay – where are you from, jackass?"
Texans aren't aware of prepositions.
What a flawed joke.

the origin of the OK is thought to be early 20th century word play.
A newspaper editor was known to write “Owl Korrect” "or “Oll Korrect” or “OK” on newspaper pages ready to print. It was a little joke that caught on and was thought hysterical until it became widely adapted.

Your story about the "favorite bathroom" reminded me of this unpleasant story
When I was in Seattle, the Stranger weekly ran a cover story with the “best bathrooms in Seattle.” Not for getting it on, but really as bathrooms.
One was an outdoor location. It was the front lawn of the 4-plex that my then-boyfriend lived in. Ack!!!!!

nope. Two weddings.

It’s so hard. I’ve been trying to move to P-town for years, but people kept giving me jobs in the Caribbean … then I tied myself to this lovely woman who “dragged” me to NYC and then HK.

I'm just sick of all the hypocrisy and flip flopping
Fans expect a player to play to their standards and cut them down at every opportunity because the fan is actually cutting the guy down because they’re carrying a torch for the backup. Them when the backup gets an opportunity the torch bearers complain that fans are too hard on their favorite player. The torch bearers don’t hold their favorite players to the same standards as they did the players in front of them.
AMIAA
It’s tough.
I kinda sit back and want the players to prove themselves. and Usually they do, or they suck it up and I advocate getting rid of them. Poor Channing.
But when I hear of stuff legitimately disturbing I decline to pull any punches, even if I love the guy.
Brandon dog fighting (the horror)?
I’d go nuts.
Greg sitt’n around playing vids instead of watching the game?
Kinda upsets me.
No Evil Vulcans! Only the good, albeit emotionless, kind.
What good is it for Oden to watch games?
It’s not like he’s going to be playing the opponent this year. I don’t really see the benefit of him watching the last few games of the season when he was watching all the games in the arena before he went home and I’m sure he’ll watch the playoffs. It’s probably not even 20 games that he won’t watch.
Next thing you know, fans will be mad that he’s not watching film of Bill Russell or Sabonis.
AMIAA
Would you not agree he has a lot to learn?
footwork, opponents’ strengths/weaknesses, defensive schemes, offensive schemes, officiating trends?
Would not watching games help that? Even if its from home after the fact?
Really, for him to day he’s not watching just feels like a smack in the face to someone like myself, who is hanging a lot of hopes on him.
No Evil Vulcans! Only the good, albeit emotionless, kind.
Yeah
But I kind of think it’s like studying for for a test for a month then taking a break for the summer before you take the test.
I think it’s safe to assume he’s watched every game he could until he went to his moms. So I don’t think it’s a big deal. We are probably talking about 10 or 15 games. I don’t think that will have any impact on his career.

How "Once Upon A Time In The West" hasn't won anything in the US is unfathomable in retrospect
Bad distribution probably. Today such a film would win best music, best cinematography, best director, best supporting actor, best everything. Not to mention “best opening sequence” and a strong contender for “best western ever”. It’s a masterpiece.

"[S]ince men enjoyed very great leisure, they used it to pursue many kinds of commodities unknown to their fathers, and that was that first yoke they placed upon themselves without thinking about it, and the first source of evils the prepared for their descendants. For, besides continuing thus to soften body and mind, as these commodities had lost almost all their pleasantness through habit, and as they had at the same time degenerated into true needs, being deprived of them became much more cruel than possessing them was sweet; and people were unhappy to lose them without being happy to have them." -Jean-Jacques Rousseau

if a team’s slot in the playoffs isnt in any danger, then it would be ideal to rest up their best player especially if they have had a multitude a various injuries throughout the season.

they’re a better matchup for us with him. gashole and odumb own us inside, cause they’re always physical, but with kome in the mix, they go a way from that inside attack to give kome his shots.
they way to beat the lakers has been the same for the past 5+ years: get in kome’s head and make him shoot.
it is shocking to me that broy has only one triple double in his career
i get that nate’s system is stat -deflating, but i would have figured roy would have worked around that obstacle ’cause he has the ball in his hands so much.

got home lastnight from dinner with the in-laws. One dog was out of his crate, and the other was hanging from her claw stuck in a knit blanket off the couch.
My fiance’ went to free her from the blanket as I had my hands full of glass plates, and the little girl bit her. Got her out of the blanket and her toe was pointing in the wrong direction, which led to a late night run to the pet hospital. Turned out it was dislocated(my first thought) but glad to know she didn’t break it. So today we are donating some nice knit blankets to goodwill, and the dog is acting like nothing ever happened.

Shouldn't the site rules reflect new policy?
I remember putting tickets on sale and the post getting deleted without explanation. I also remember reading the site rules on the matter and following them to the letter. I can respect the position of not wanting BEdge associated with these shenanigans (i also could have went with tom-foolery), but it would be good if it was more clear that this is not acceptable anymore.

And it feels
And it feels like
Heaven’s so far away
And it feels
Yeah it feels like
The world has grown cold
Now that you’ve gone away
Leaving flowers on your grave
Show that I still care
But black roses and hail mary’s
Can’t bring back what’s taken from me
I reach to the sky
And call out your name
And if I could trade
I would
And it feels
And it feels like
Heaven’s so far away
And it stings
Yeah it stings now
The world is so cold
Now that you’ve gone away

Mike Brown is killing my fantasy team.
i was really hoping LeBron would play today….
maybe his last game of the season he’ll play…..
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you’re gonna see some serious [stuff].

i didn’t.
i’m not down much, it’s still really close. but i’m gonna have probably 3 less games started overall, and that matters quite a bit. LeBron is too good to drop cause there is a chance he could play again….it’s not like he’s injured and for sure not gonna play.
i can still win though….it’s just very much more in doubt now than it was before.
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you’re gonna see some serious [stuff].

Same goes for Miss Roybot with Bosh
That “resting before the playoffs” of players for either very sucky teams or teams that have already secured their position is very unpredictable. It’s part of why I don’t like the playoff mode in fantasy sports.
the difference with Bosh is he’s hurt….so he for sure won’t play. LeBron could still play…..so i can’t drop him. if he was hurt i’d have dropped him a while ago and picked up someone. but if there’s even a chance he’ll play, then i have to have him cause he’ll for sure put me over the top. i still believe my team is good enough to win. FG% is in doubt, i’m only down 4 rebounds and 5 TO’s…..it’s not over by any means. i’m just gonna need extra big games from Lee/Rondo/Love/Terry

not to mention the no call on fisher forcing webster back about 10 feet. you don’t have to make that call, but once it is clear the offense gains an advantage, that should have been an automatic whistle
Yep.
The key was once it gave the offense a clear advantage (as soon as Kobe had a clean look), you have to blow the whistle.
Terrible, terrible “only in LA” call.
clearly a correct call on the LMA block. The O-foul on Dre was the only play where we clearly got hosed— if you are going to call that you have to call the Fisher play.

I actually agreed with his analysis on end of game situations
why not just spread your defenders along the three point line?
I thought Bayless did fine
8 pts on 5 shots, 5 boards, and we looked OK with Miller out of the game for six minutes in the 4th q.
the weird thing about the bad calls tonight
I can’t remember any particularly bad calls before that. There was the no-call on LA that Nate got a T for, and a somewhat dubious travel on Dre, but really it was reasonably well officiated and under control until the last 45 seconds.

does need to be said that our starting C play right now is still quite strong and Roy seems to be more comfortable playing with Camby than he ever did with Oden.
Obviously, when Oden’s on the court, he does a lot more than Camby, but its hard to say just how much better we’d be. Possibly a ton better, possibly a more modest improvement.
I also think the injuries helped Miller & Roy get more comfortable. So there are silver linings potentially for Portland here.

Its hard to know how to feel right now. The Blazers are looking good, but how much stock do we put in it when its being driven to such a significant degree by Miller and Camby? Its really nice to feel like we have every chance to at least be competitive in the first round (unless we get Denver), but its hard to know what it means for the future when both Roy and Aldridge have regressed since last year (in Roy’s case probably mostly due to injury).
LaMarcus, in the second half of the season, has shown that he has not regressed from last year. He always plays poorly and then peaks at the end of the year.

Dre has many seasons of high level play
is the NBA iron man and is much older (NBA terms) than Aldridge. Miller has reasons to be given leeway, Aldridge does not. He’s a young guy in great shape, he should be able to play well all year.

and it’s risen from 16.5ish at midseason. So you’re telling me that we’ll never see LaMarcus be as good as he was last year? Because you’ve seen that LaMarcus the whole second half of the year.
PER is fine, but much of the gap is just his lesser usage.

What it means
I think what it means is we really should go for it next year. Forget trying to get a point guard of the future—re-sign Camby, try to add a reliable bench scorer who can get his own shot and try to win the title.
We don’t know how many healthy years we’re going to get out of Roy and Oden together, we need to make sure every chance will count.
also
based on this realization regarding the fragility of the title window, I have recently come around to the idea that we need a coach who can get us to play defense now.
someone who can get LMA to play this kind of defense all year long.

we can’t win a title if Brandon is going to be 50% committed on defense (and this is before any injury troubles). That’s why, it has nothing to do with how much we’ve overachieved this year.

he needs to be instilling accountability in his teammates on both ends, not making his own effort variable.

Just chiming in
This was the season where we were gonna see if Nate could do it with a championship level roster. Until Greg went down, it wasn’t looking like he could but there was obviously a ton of time left for the team to gel and/or trades to happen and whatnot. The injuries have denied us of our test year.
Now we get to decide to jump off of the proverbial cliff and get a new coach or take an equally large risk in keeping Nate. I hope that the right decision is made. There are some things that Nate does that I absolutely hate. I can’t fault him for keeping our guys motivated and eventually correcting some of his older mistakes though. Our guys have been great this year.
I believe that any coach can win a championship if they have the right roster. I guess it just comes down to patience and whether we believe that we have enough time for the conservative nature of McMillan to come through.

man
I just checked the futures odds—the Magic are +450 and the Lakers are +145. Those odds on the Magic are tasty, they are very good.
I am to the point where, while LA is still the favorite out west, I take the field over them, and its not even a tough call. I think they clearly have a less than 50% chance to win the west.
this is particularly true
if they end up playing the Spurs in the first round. That means they would go through 3 series where I don’t think you could make them more than 60/65% favorites (Spurs—Jazz—Nuggets). .65^3 = 27%.
I will say I think Cleveland are deserved favorites due to LeBron. The Magic HAVE to be a close #2 though, base on their play this year and the way they dismantled CLE in the playoffs last year.
Vegas must think the Lakers are bored.
matchups wise, its hard to see, but Utah has been the best team in the West for a while now (with the possible exception of SA), so if they avoid LA, they’ve got a chance.
they have to. SA has the size and they are in great form. If Manu keeps playing like he has been, they can win that series. As much as a 40% chance.
I hated him for a few years at the end of the Spurs run of dominance when I was rooting for the fun Suns. Now I like him again.
He's like Kobe to me.
Hate him for years, but due to longevity and craftiness end up respecting the hell out of him despite my best wishes.

We now see how important Bosh was to Toronto
And to some extent, the quality of the team and possibly coaching built around him.
They would be so bad in the west
They’re basically the Warriors, they can score but can’t play D.

this is going to be my background for the next few years unless the Blazers win a title or something.

I’ll probably pick the C’s. I was convinced the Bucks would beat them, but without Bogut I think the C’s win.
If pressed to make a firm prediction, I'd take the C's
but I think the upset’s still very much in play. The C’s haven’t looked right in a long time.
Hedo exits the game to booing louder than anything we had Friday
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
Looking at the rosters, I'm still surprised the Pistons won as many games as they did.
And that the Nets didn’t win at least 20.
I was very surprised it came up
Unlike all previous years, he’s got a fresh contract this year. Perhaps it’s related?
I couldn’t tell if they were just commenting generally about it, or actually trying to hint at more.
If Kevin Pritchard does get fired this summer, pursuing Hedo should be reason #1, not the 2007 draft. I really hope we keep him though.
I more wonder if it was Paul that wanted him. He falls in love with guys.

It's a reasonable question
“We worked for this cap space, now let’s spend it on the best player available!”
Dang.
I’m glad to hear you say that Jake, since you would have been OK firing him if he didn’t make a midseason trade.
Team KP
Next year, do you start Camby or Oden?
i say start Camby, let Oden come off the bench and prove himself
but we have to trade pryz
love the man, but we can get some more firepower for him and bring in the other Joel from europe as a backup PF
Joel won't be ready to go for a while
If he comes back okay, we can always use a 3rd center, and otherwise he is (sadly) an expiring deal.
#52
there will be plenty of minutes to go around--doesn't really matter to me who starts
Camby can play 4/5 (he’s more of a natural PF).
More pressing question
Who do we put on KD tommorow? GAH?

Lol.
I’d be okay with that. Seriously, though, Nic did a pretty decent job on him last time. Batum’s feet are super fast and he was able to shut down the drive pretty decently.
his greatest asset is being able to match up with the tall guys like Dirk and Durant. He has something like a 74’’ wingspan.
#52
"We have nothing to lose." - Martell
I expected the length,
but I’ve been more impressed by Batum’s quickness. He’s does a really good job of keeping his man in front.
definitely. Like they said today, he is one of the absolute best at defending Kobe.
His length just makes him special because, against any undersized 2, it’s not a fair fight. Watching Ben Gordon try to score on him was funny.
#52
"We have nothing to lose." - Martell
Is he ever assigned point guards?
Brooks has been doing this stupid thing recently of putting Thabo on pgs if that’s the opposing team’s best player (like Williams, Nash, Billups). He’s gotten destroyed because they’re just too fast. I’d be curious to see how Batum does in similar spots.
anyone else notice how well bayless guards big guys
at least for his size. last game i thought he held his own nicely against dirk( not the 1st time he has done that) and today there were some play where he did fine guarding bigs off switches(also the l*kers did a nice job of not always giving it to the big guy, that did help)

If Martell is comfortable with his role, he'd make a great role player as he works on consistency
Assuming Batum’s game continues to grow.
yep
I don’t think $5 million a year is a horrible price to pay for an additional guy to throw at Carmelo and LeBron, two of the biggest obstacles to our title ambitions.
Marty is a Kobe stopper
In both our wins he played great D on Kobe.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
key to tomorrow’s game is Dre hitting the midrange jumper and LaMarcus in the post. Without Brandon, they’ll be able to do what they did last time and overwhelm LMA with doubles. This means that we’ll need someone to make them pay for double-teaming. Rudy and Jerryd, this is your cue.
#52
"We have nothing to lose." - Martell
I'd like to see Rudy give us some of the passing he did tonight
My fear is that OKC are a very aggressive team pressuring perimeter dribblers, something that gives Rudy a lot of trouble. LA didn’t really look concerned with pressuring some of our weaker ballhandlers, which allowed Rudy and Martell to find their stride. That might not be available tomorrow night.
If we play defense
Good solid transition defense, we should be able to handle them.
"If we win a title, I promise not to hate on anyone associated with the Blazers for 1 full season" - jksnake99

We definitely need a player to step up.
One of the bench trio is the obvious choice. But an off the wall idea like Juwan or Camby (on offense) can’t be ruled out.

NBA TV is showing highlights
In retrospect, both Fisher and Kobe fouled Martell at the end. The hoop cam gives it away. Kobe actually jumps into him and is pushing him away from the hoop, and gets all arm on the block attempt.
if that wasn’t called, we would’ve had the silver lining of being outraged about not getting an apology.

my grandfather turned 90 on Friday.
today we had an open house type party for him. the house was full at one point. i made sure i had a view of the tv and the remote. i kept the Masters on cause it is easier to ignore if i need to talk to people. but i would check the score of the Blazers every now and then.
The house cleared out a bit. I clicked over to the game with about 4 minutes left and the Blazers up 5. in the room were other Blazer fans, a couple of them season ticket holders with tickets a couple rows behind Paul Allen (i’ll relate a sorta funny story in my next comment that the guy told me).
We watched the end of the game, I was sure the refs were gonna screw us (didn’t call the moving screen on Fisher, called the block on LA instead of a charge) but then we won….and after we won, several people in the room clapped. it was pretty great. much better than the last time i remember watching a Blazer game during a party. That was the my high school graduation party. I graduated in 2000.

and now the funny story.
the guy that sits a couple rows behind Paul Allen said that Allen has never said anything to them. Except one time. The had set flyers on the seats about renewing season tickets. This guy put one of the flyers on PA’s seat. PA turned around, with a smile on his face, and said, “I pay a lot more than that for these seats.”
i thought that was pretty funny.

Just finished game
Wow. Crazy game. Way to go MARTY.
See, that is why I prefer him over Outlaw. Outlaw can put up the same points Marty Party did, but he can’t defend Kobe Bryant like that. Marty made a dumb foul, but just like Roy against Houston, Martell redeemed.
I wish LMA made that shot that Camby rebounded and put in. He was so open after Pau, for whatever reason, got behind LMA. Would love to have LMA win a game like that, in a big one on ABC. Oh well! I’ll take the win either way.
Boy, the Lakers sure look mediocre. Kobe is moving AWFUL. If they don’t get anything from Bynum either, they are extremely beatable. I still don’t trust them to be this way in the playoffs though… I still say they make the Finals.
#52
I said this before
But that was the worst endgame execution by both teams I have ever seen in the NBA, certainly by two playoff teams.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
Ranks up with Houston on the wild game list.
I don’t know how LA missed 3 of 4 FT’s but I’ll take it. And great to see Marty come up clutch and redeem himself. LAL respected his three pointer to nearly tackle him on the attempt.
Kobe is so unclutch!
The only way he can make a big 3 is if he has Fisher set an obviously illegal moving screen for him.

So. Just to recap.
Brandon is in the game. He hurts his knee. He plays on it for a few and it kind of buckles. The Blazers take him out. Then… wait for it… wait for it…
They put him back in to play on it again?
He wanted to go back in and test it
Can’t blame him.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
I jumped up off my seat when Rudy had that off-balance oop to LMA. Awesome.
Then right after that, I get a text from a friend who is a fellow Blazer fan… I don’t read it, figuring it was about the game (he should know better than to text about the game when he knows I DVR most games, but he is a silly goose). I text him back, and say I didn’t read his text and that I am watching my DVR’d copy of the game. He texts back to ignore his text.
When I close that text, my phone instantly takes me to my unread text, and I read too fast and see “BLAZERS BEAT LAKERS?!” before I can close it. I hate getting games ruined, I went to such great lengths all day not to have anything ruined, even though where I was was playing the game in the next room.

And just in case my friend was having an emergency (he’s had relationship problems and stuff) I wanted to text him back that if it was about the game, don’t ruin anything for me (which should be SOP always— just first text if I watched it yet or not).
Not my fault, my phone’s fault!

I liked Martell too, even with that bad foul.
BTW I was scared ishless when fisher set that illegal pick and kobe nailed the trey. I was like “Here we go, the stern initiative rearing it’s ugly head” but the blazers responded much better this time than they did on friday. Maybe that Dallas game really did push us in the right direction. Of course it’s really easy for me to apply that logic to the only game that’s been played since the Mav’s…

in other news, lincecum is still ridiculous.
the nl cy young should be a crazy good race with him, halladay, carp, wainwright, etc. all in the mix
I think it will ultimately come down to Lincecum and Halladay, and unless Lincecum is substantially better, I think they’ll give it to Halladay.
this is what i envision as well.
i’d be kind of surprised if Doc doesn’t win, actually.

Ok, people with experience with this sort of Xbox thingy for tonight
I got a question about the AUDIO, and I figure we should try to figure it out now and not at 11:30.
So, I got a headset, and I assume BRP does too. Is he doing a direct feed from his TV to JustinTV? Is he just pointing a webcam at the TV? If so, how will everyone hear us? The sound from me won’t be heard unless he unplugs his headset, but then I won’t be able to hear him trashtalk. And I assume that is a big part of this.
Anyone know how the setup will work?
#52
to be specific
in case BRP doesn’t know this, if you go to preferences(after pushing your xbox button, if that’s not obvious..) then click “voice” and then select “Play Through Both” under “Voice Output” you’ll be able to hear him through your headset, and he, and the television will be able to hear you.

it will be interesting to see the Warriors next year with Buike, A-Rand and Wright. A good bit of talent there.
Buike was never that great I felt
Wright looked like he could develop into something on a different team/coach, and same for A-Rand. They could be good.
But Buike is pretty mediocre to me, with the sometimes big game because he’s a Warrior.
#52
Yeah, he's fine
I just wouldn’t list him along with A-Rand (or Wright) as a reason to be hopeful for the future. Just nitpicking!

If you’re the goat of a game, you’re the reason they lost (or get blamed for it).

Then they beat us tomorrow to wrap up the sixth seed we win our last game vs GSW and Spurs lose their last game to Dallas ( putting Dallas to 2 for sure probably ) and us at the 7th.
Obviously, if the Spurs win my plan is dead.

Westbrook obvious backcourt violation
"If we win a title, I promise not to hate on anyone associated with the Blazers for 1 full season" - jksnake99
"...black on black. my favorite!" - portlandgiirl91
OKC committed a blatant backcourt violation and the refs allowed play to continue as if there had been a tip. No Warrior was anywhere near the play— not even close to being tipped.
The GSW players even looked at the ref, who gave the "it was tipped" motion with their hands
Refs should be required to take interviews after the game.
Every interview would be like that old SNL sketch
Where John Goodman was a NFL ref who was doing press conferences, and every question was a re-wording of “how much poop do you have for brains”, or if he is legally blind, or just near sighted, etc.

Holmes had recently been accused of throwing a glass at a woman in a lounge. No charges have been filed against him, and Holmes’ lawyer, Adam Swickle, told The Associated Press a male witness has taken responsibility for tossing the glass.
Holmes was entering his fifth season with the Steelers and has 235 catches for 3,835 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Holmes was cited for marijuana possession, a misdemeanor, in Pennsylvania in 2008. The Steelers made Holmes inactive for the game following the incident and he subsequently apologized.
He was arrested on a domestic violence charge in 2006 in Ohio, but that charge was later dropped.

Recently in bone bruises
Andrew Bogut: Missed 2 games
Nene: Missed 2 games
Greg Buckner: Missed 3 games
Leandro Barbosa: Missed 8 games
Didn't LaMarcus miss 1 game last fall due to knee bone bruise?
If I remember right, he only missed a game but it was clear for weeks that he was playing with pain.

flash floods
so much of everything is paved, there’s no place for the water to go after a while. Storm drains fill up and then the streets.

Conan O'Brien did a great job with that a while back
Breaking into his show with news whenever a drop fell, etc.
I missed that, sounds funny
It’s just one of those things living in LA that makes you laugh, especially if you’re from a place that it rains a lot. It was just so overly dramatic when the news would break into storm watch after some light rain.
I shouldn't complain but sometimes I still do.

Sadly, all the videos are taken down, so I can't link it
Absolutely hilarious stuff. I’m pretty sure at one point, the police shoot at the raindrops to try to stop it.
Wait was there a bit where someone catches on fire because of the rain?
I think I might have seen at least a part of this. I wonder if people who live in Oregon that come from a place where it snows a lot have the same feeling watching the storm watch ads in Portland when it snows.
I shouldn't complain but sometimes I still do.

Defensive efficiency in last 21 games:
OKC: 105.7
Portland: 103
Independent of schedule, I realize. But maybe we aren’t terrible after all!

Very good fronting to deny the entry pass, and Nic is bothering his shots well with his length
Almost looks like Joel and Greg vs. Yao. Old Kobe might have gone around them, current Kobe doesn’t have the speed and hops anymore to do that constantly and has to rely on long shots.
Haha, Shaq is a loony

EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just got home from celebrating BRP JR’s 3rd bday with the gpa’s, dropped by Walmart to pick up 2k10. Only 39.97! pretty cheap. roll back price is the new blue light. you know, i’d go to some small biz owner shop to buy it but it’s not open at this time;)
Just setup my gametag “broyposse” which took forever and played a quick 3 min quarter against the CPU.
I lost by 22 points!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHUCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, either they change everything up or i’m rusty like Mortimer’s snoo snoo style.
i hate Boston. i feel gross even playing them.
i think we need to change the line to about 40 pts.
i’m not ready to face Morty but i’ll man up and take my potential beating like Jack Bauer
putting the kiddies to bed now, i’ll be back go downstairs around 11pm to setup justin.tv etc…
btw, that game today was awesome. my dad almost got a heart attack because of Marty. If that was Outlaw, it wouldn’t have happen because he wouldn’t be guarding Kobe…Batum would!
