As good as we think our team is, the guys still have a lot to learn. Playoff basketball is a different animal entirely. The games really matter in the playoffs. The opposition will ratchet up the physicality. Sometimes, the refs won’t do the bets job of moderating the physicality but it’s up to our team to play that much better.

Also, officiating basketball is tough. The game is so fast-paced that it’s very difficult to be right all the time. The bottom line is that at the end of the day, the team that played better is the team that wins the game. No matter how much we want to chalk it up to bad refs, the Mavs simply played better than we did.
