Jim Mora Jr.'s firing in Seattle was ham-handed, including letting Mora hold a press conference after the season before firing him the next day. Mora stunk as a coach, but the point is that the handling of the situation was similarly abrupt, unprofessional, and nasty.
Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I just wanted folks to realize the problem goes much deeper than the Blazers.
Mike Holmgren also consistently referred to "people other than Todd Leiweike" who worked in Vulcan and made life as coach and GM challenging. Seahawks fans are mostly convinced that Vulcan only offered Holmgren a job they knew he wouldn't take this off-season to avoid a PR disaster.
Who are these guys? And why don't they have to withstand the spotlight? Can some reporters dig them out and shine a light on them?
