High School Phenom Jeremy Tyler Quits Maccabi Haifa
Talented player who decided to go international like Brandon Jennings, but couldn't handle it. Seems like a pretty big headcase, arguing with coaches and such. Not sure how he'll fare in the draft.

I can't say I feel bad for him one bit.
I’ve read a few articles on him, he’s got a piss poor attitude and thinks he’s the next Lebron James. Unfortunately for him, he’s as raw as sushi and, from the looks of things, not as much of a talent as he thought he was.
He’s got a few years of development before he can even think about playing in the NBA.

he's a kid whose head got ahead of him
I’ve seen him play on TV a few times – he’s got talent, especially someone for 6’11", but he’s a player that saw being a star as a “right” and not a privilege. He’s considered himself and NBA star in his own mind since high school, and thought that going to Europe to play was going to be a quick stepping stone – that he’s dominate, be the man, and then come back and slide right into a big NBA role – much like Brandon Jennings did.
The thing is- he’s actually talented enough to pull that off to a certain extent – but the thing is, there are enough guys with talent and college seasoning entering the draft that AREN’T head-cases with off-court baggage that will be taken ahead of him. I mean, look at DeMarcus Cousins from Kentucky. Probably the best big man in college this year (highest PER in the nation) – but CHARACTER CONCERNS have draft experts debating if he will even be the first big man taken. Those things are really important in the NBA these days – with limited roster spaces and salary cap, you don’t want to draft and pay a guy that’s not going to be able to produce, or in this case, not be mature enough to play within a year or two.
I wish him the best because you never want to see someone that young screw up their potential – but he’s doing a pretty good job of that right now

I think we should trade for Cousins.
Mostly to confuse Mike Rice, because that would be hilarious.
Wearing the black band for Jarrett Jack, Ime Udoka, Fred Jones, Sergio Rodriguez, Channing Frye, Luke Schenscher, Shavlik Randolph, James Jones, Josh McRoberts, Steven Hill, Jarron Collins, Michael Ruffin, Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw. Sacrificed to the unmerciful god of progress.
His agents/representatives claim that Tyler who dropped out of high school to turn pro in Europe “grew a lot as the season moved on” and that last year he “had a Euroleague offer” (then maybe he should have taken that, though I think he signed with a “too good” team already where he didn’t get much playing time, a la Jennings). Tyler reportedly plans to stay in Europe for the 2010-11 season rather than jump to the NBA D-League because his agent “prefer[s] the European development model over the D-League in terms of practice time, support system, nutrition, etc.”

It says he might try to enter the draft in June
But doesn’t he still have to wait another year?
Hence the article directly above me saying he will return to Europe in 2010-11
"Sometimes I catch myself watching him and he's shooting floaters all-net. And just to watch how he's talking trash. I loved it. I loved every minute of it. Rudy's a competitor." - Brandon Roy
He's has immense talent
from the sounds of it, and I believe he does. He could’ve been high lottery for the 2011 Draft, but he’s not going to be. Unless he really grows up or his game takes gigantic leaps his stock in going to keep falling.
DraftExpress projects Tyler to go in the second round of the 2011 draft. That should tell the story about this once high school phenom.
Like someone said before NBA teams really value maturity as much as talent. He has obvious talent but from the articles I’ve read he acts like a 10-year-old. He’s made some wrong decisions and he expects everything to come and accomidate to him. I pray that he get surrounded by the right people who can set him on the right path.
The 2012-13 NBA season: a dynasty begins.
