There's a legitimate critcism in that:
KP inexcusably failed to correctly identify and evaluate the severity of Greg Oden’s pre-existing medical problems.
KP failed, despite the RLEC and massive cap space, to land an upper level player via trade or free agency.
KP was able at the trade deadline to salvage the season by acquiring Camby only with several million dollars of Vulcan’s/Mr. Allen’s cash and two expiring contracts; in effect being bailed out by Mr. Allen.
Who can say if his successes are outweighed by the failures? But you might see that Pritchard’s superiors may have a legitimate grievance with Pritchard’s decision making. Our current success has been purchased at a high cost.

this:

who were the two names being mentioned? Jefferson and Carter. They both have been pretty bad this season, especially jefferson, and Andre Miller has been the best free agent this year, so I am not sure what the problem is there.

Miller was very available at last year's deadline, as well
and Andre’s presence on last year’s playoff roster could’ve swung the first round series in Portland’s favor
We learned after the fact that Portland was interested in acquiring Miller before last July, but of course the decision was made to stand pat last Feb rather than to “disrupt team chemistry”
And based on Portland’s strong second half it appeared to be the correct choice…until game 1 against Houston
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
since you cut/paste your comments from another thread, I will too:
KP failed, despite the RLEC and massive cap space, to land an upper level player via trade or free agency
All of the reported available offers for RLEC last year appear in hindsight to have been ones that we should be quite glad we DIDN’T agree to.
Additionally, there were very few upper level free agents available last summer. Our ill-fated pursuit of Hedo aside, it appears we got the best bang for our buck that we possibly could have in signing Andre Miller.
I’d say KP did the best he could with RLEC/cap space given what he had to work with.

What are you smoking?
The players who we have payed to acquire their draft rights were because Paul Allen wanted them.
KP traded Foye/Thomas for Roy/Aldridge (drastically improving our franchise).
KP shouldn’t be held responsible for not seeing Oden’s injuries, he’s not our training staff.
There were no big name free agents last summer, who knows why he didn’t get Devin Harris or a bad fit Caron Butler at last seasons trading deadline.
I don’t see how you could possibly come to the conclusion that KP’s so-called negative decisions have outweighed his numerous positive decisions that have changed this franchise and city around, in an amazing way.
Not my conclusions
It’s just another way to look at things. It takes an open mind to put yourself in someone’s shoes and make an attempt to understand their reasoning.
this is always difficult for a fan to do, to be detached
and I strongly suspect that PA and the Vulcans are much tougher re: KP’s track record than Blazers fans, no matter how “plugged in” we think we are. We don’t know the details about “the deals the got away” because we typically only hear the “positive spin” from the organization. But if KP had all the gravitas up in Seattle that Bedgers have come to expect, then his good friend wouldn’t have been given the boot this week
The Penn firing should be shifting the way Bedgers look at the Allen-KP relationship. It’s not “personal” like we may have thought, it is all about business. The hands-on owner expects results, and is daily asking KP (and his staff) the question “what have you done for me, lately?”

The training staff is responsible for evaluating a player's health before acquiring said player?
If this is true, then this is just ANOTHER reason to get rid of the Blazer fitness/training staff!!!!! Or at least Bobby Medina and Jay Jenson. Talk about a good ol boy part of the organization!
When are they going to fire Canzano?

Boycott Canzano
“When he whined on air that his taxes were too high, because the of the referendum that just passed, I realized that he was too successful, made too much money, and that I,as a responsible Oregonian, could make a difference in his life. I turned off the radio. I told my friends not to listen to him. I figured that if he lost a few customers, and lost a few sponsors, he wouldn’t have to worry about being in such a high tax bracket. I sincerely wish him a lower tax bill, a think the earned income credit would suit him well.

to be fair...
objecting to tax increase, whether they affect you or not, does not automatically mean you are too successful or make too much money. There are potentially deep philosophical and political opinions at work here.

And that's why he needs to be fired...
for being potentially “philosophical”…as we now know, that is a fireable offense in these parts.
I had philosophical differences with my cat so I stopped feeding him

He was clearly annoyed on a personal level.
Besides, when you run a sports talk show, you ought to be smart enough to leave your political values at home. Liberals will hate a conservative, conservatives will send brain dead red necks to march on your station, it’s just the way it is. It’s sports, and you’re looking for a broad audience.
He’s blessed to have a successful career in media. He should be grateful, show some class, and not whine about 1,3% on a graduating scale.

There are so many reasons to dislike Canzano. Aside from his tax bracket.
The man stirs the pot to get an audience. I’ve had no tolerance for him since he wrote about Brandon Roy going off to be on his own during the national anthem…talk about political. What a jerk.
