The Blazers remaining schedule...what gives?
"Who is scheduling the games around here?"
I have been watching the Blazers games all season thanks to NBA League Pass Broadband, $19.99 a month is worth it for me in Spain, since there really is no other option. But the schedule for the Blazers has been ridiculous lately, the large gaps in between the games and then suddenly a back-to-back and then four more days off and more back-to-backs. The odd thing is for the Blazers it seems to be favoring them. We are currently in the waiting room of a 12-day 3-game span and then rush into a game at Dallas with a day-off then at NOH and at OKC back-to-back. 2 days off and we play NYK at home and leave that night to Denver for another back-to-back. I can only hope that the Blazers keep their level of competitive play up on back-to-backs like they have all season, because out of the remaining 13 games we have 3 more back-to-backs metting @OKC, @DEN and at home with OKC again. With the games leading into them being @NOH, vs NYK and @ LAL.
I have been proud of the Blazers all season long and especially of their recent efforts. I hope that they can keep up this level of play and head into the post-season with a nice streak.

Pacific time is not kind with Spanish Bedgers.
I’m thinking 3/3 beating Dallas instead of OKC, the back-to-back condition tipping the scale.
6-0
Hope springs eternal until the games are played.
Wearing the black band for Jarrett Jack, Ime Udoka, Fred Jones, Sergio Rodriguez, Channing Frye, Luke Schenscher, Shavlik Randolph, James Jones, Josh McRoberts, Steven Hill, Jarron Collins, Michael Ruffin, Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw. Sacrificed to the unmerciful god of progress.
Correct me if I am wrong but...
I don’t think the Blazers have any more back-to-backs than the rest of the league.
Not saying that...
Just don’t like the timing of them or the opponents. If the remaining back-to-backs were against the bottom feeders it wouldn’t be such a concern, but other than NY and maybe NO, it is strong western conference competition. That’s what I think stinks.

This seems most likely
But I think NO and OKC back-to-back can be taken, leaving only losses to DEN and LAL. 4/2 would be nice.

We lost to OKC because we didn't have Brandon Roy or Camby. Not going to happen again. Even in a season where
Greg Oden and Pryzbilla are not playing, and Brandon Roy is missing a ton of games, we are better than OKC.

hope these 4 days off don't result in rust
The Blazers are playing pretty well right now. While I’m glad they are getting rest, I hope they don’t get too rusty and lose their chemistry. I’ll be at the next game versus the Wiz on Friday to see. Taking my Sister from Montana. It will be her first NBA / Blazer game ever. Hope it rocks!
I hope the 4 days off will result in practice time
Let’s see if we can get Marcus more up-to-speed on the Blazers’ playbook and defensive rotations. He’s been decent, but I’m sure he could be so much better once he’s in sync with the rest of the team.

we match up well against OKC
lets get em’ twice
also lets trade and get Collison.. off topic but NO was mentioned… sorry
The Schedule Was made
by the same folks who gave the Lakers something like 20 home games in the first 25 games of the season.
yeah
scheduling has been funky this year. Figures we had to be front loaded the year we lost all our guys to long term injury at the beginning of the schedule…
Same thing happened to my Buckeyes in the Big Ten. Turner was out injured at the beginning and we lost 3 games. If our schedule was not so frontloaded we mighta only lost 1 one of those with Evan back. Thems the breaks though…

The OKC games will be the litmus test to see whether the Blazers truly have started getting a rhythm going.
I’m amazed at how the media still oohs and ahs for Portland doing so well despite all the injuries. There are a lot of teams around the NBA that are currently banged up far worse than the Blazers, who actually are not all that far from being a full-strength NBA team now that one of the downed centers has a replacement.
whats up with season ticket holders not picking up their playoff strips this year?
i predict the blazers get hot and go all the way!
