Oden Drawer - 3/15
i saw the first half hour of courtside tonight, but missed the rest, including Oden joining them by phone.
just wanted to know if anybody saw/heard if he said anything important I/we should know about (ie. return for playoffs, etc).
now i need to fill in words till i get to seventy five words. blah blah blah blah, Oden is a beast, Batum is a jedi, Roy is a stud, Aldridge is a stud

I heard a few minutes on the radio. Said he is hoping to come back by the playoffs, but wasn't sure of anything. ( which I read as it's not happening )
He also said he has been working out lately without any pain, which is great news, but that the knee is still a little stiff when he sits for a while. Sounds to me like he isn’t coming back.
"What people need to know is that those pictures were taken a year and a half ago, and I've grown since then." - Greg Oden
You cant use the same moniker for Roy and Aldridge!
and I demand you find something both clever, appealing and appropriate to replace it with.
According to "Merlin"
after listening to Greg on the show, he did not think he would be back. He was hoping for a more positive sounding Greg concerning that possibility. I heard the interview and thought the same thing as well (of course, my opinion and $3.50 will buy you an overpriced coffee drink…)
Interrogation Cop: What are you saying?
Fenster: I said he'll flip you.
Interrogation Cop: He'll what?
Fenster: Flip you. Flip ya for real.

He did sound like he was in a good place mentally though
and I think that that is more than half the battle with GO. If he believes in himself, that he will be a force in this league, the sky is the limit. Anybody can have injuries, it’s what they make of themselves afterwords that counts. And for his sake (and ours) I hope it’s the last of this kind he has to go through. He is such a likeable guy.
He's not running yet.
So I doubt that he’ll be back in time but if it motivates him, so much the better. It can be lonely staring into the abyss a second time and having to wait another seven months from now to even play in the preseason.

thanks 2 all for the feedback.
i was hoping for a better report, it sure wouldve helped Greg (and many fans) get through the summer much faster, if he is only able to play a few games. but who knows, it could still happen.
A better report
He is going to be back this year. I can say that because I am a fan, and because you wanted me to. He said he has been running on the treadmill for weeks now. He said he has been surprised by the recent lack of pain. He said he needed to regain the strength in his legs and regain his confidence in them. He said he has been shooting at night when no one else is around. I say, “Get the man some protein and we are in business.”
21 + 52=
Lack of Cardio will be his biggest obstacle
He hasn’t exerted his lungs in months. That’s rehab in an of itself.
Treat people well because Karma can hit you at any second.
If he does come back he can take Howard's minns and lay on Shaq in the finals.
Wont need to be in tip top shape
