Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Pretty impressive collection. Should he be considered next to Dwight Howard in the Defensive Player of the Year race?

I don't think he is next to Howard yet.

But he has the tools to be one of the best defensive players ever- quick enough to cover the fastest guards and strong enough to cover the beefy power forwards and even some centers.

Hate him if you want, but he is a once-in-a-generation player.

he's no Andre Miller thats for sure

they look so good, thats why I keep em in the front...

Well yeah that's true

James rarely gets a road crowd reaction like Andre did.

Yeah you're totally right

theres really no arguing just how great the guy is. Its not even close. Once-in-a-generation player is spot on.

they look so good, thats why I keep em' in the front...

That "block" on B-Roy was blatant goaltending

We could have won that game if that gets called correctly. The other 9 are good though; especially when he pins Dwight Howard’s on the glass with both hands.

LeBron has that title until he is a rather older gentleman.

Never I bet

We may love Batum but a) Lebron is more famous and b) Lebron is better at that than Batum because he is bigger, faster, and can jump higher.

LeBron blocks with a lot more authority too

just makes them look a lot better.

Yeah, there is that too

Nic’s are just as important though.

by GMan83201 on Mar 14, 2010 3:05 PM PDT up reply actions

he will never be with Lebron around

Lebron is faster, more explosive, and just as long and tall as Batum is – I love me some Nic but Lebron’s blocks are always better highlight material

and in other news: 'get that weak stuff outta here' will be the next 'and boom goes the dynamite'

Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".

...no seriously--stop.

Funny, I think you meant to say "should he be considered next to Nic Batum".

=p

Van Gundy's quote says it all

greatest athlete to ever play NBA basketball – the fact that he moves like that and is as big as Karl Malone was is just silly

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
