Of course!
I’m sure any college student would be happy to have their personal property stolen by a star athlete! If the star wants his computer, he should just take it! If a Rose Bowl qb needs to drive somewhere, he should feel free to just take a car from any other student without asking! He clearly deserves to take anything he wants from anyone!
Exactly
He’s practically a superstar and he deserves superstar treatment.

I don't blame the student.
It’s clearly the fault of his parents, educators, and the local law enforcement for not properly explaining to him how things work. What has our society come to when such critical lessons are not being passed on to our young students?
Exaclty
When he reported it to the cops, the cops should have taken the dude to Chip Kelly and then he could have handled everything under the table. It’s like they don’t even watch movies on college sports.
Yeah
People tend to escalate things way beyond what is necessary. I’d love to know if the guy asked for his stuff back before calling the police.
I’m not too familiar with the background story on this, but wasn’t Masoli just ticked because he wasn’t invited to a party and so he did the stupid thing of breaking into the frat house as some sort of statement regarding that? Seems like an ordinary college prank to me.

A newt?
...I got better."

So when he says 1 year suspension...
that means he will be eligible for the Civil War? Isn’t that how “1 year” suspensions work in Eugene?
Nah
They don’t need him to beat the Beavers.

Who is the new QB then to take the Ducks to the national championship game?
It’s our year!
"Oh, and Ted, give my love to the Princesses. Ted2: Who? Ted: You'll see." - Ted, to himself on his and Bill's excellent adventure.
That one dude
I heard he’s pretty good.
If I had to put money on it, right now, I’d put money on the Pac 10 teams with senior quarterbacks. I haven’t paid enough attention to give a serious answer as to who’s year it is.

Blount's suspension was 'indefinite'. meaning it was open-ended coach could bring him back
at any time – so he did. With JMas’s being termed as 1 year – I think he’s toast unless Chip wants to start digging his own grave and go back on his word at the end of the season.
Treat people well because Karma can hit you at any second.
i heard
there were some type of photos on the computer that they didnt want people to see. but who knows. and the new qb will most likely be darron thomas. 6’3 205 dennis dixon type.
what explains the other stuff he stole

ridiculous
i can’t believe that the uofo is sending the message that if your good at sport you can get away with criminal acts. you know a player got kicked off the team completely for a facebook post? he wasn’t good though so its alright huh. plus the fact that domestic abuse gets you a one game suspension while a non violent robbery gets one year. the message they are sending to students and faculty has a lot of people down here pissed right off. the unethical nature of this whole thing is just sickening.
You don't think suspended for the entire year is harsh enough (don't forget that's not his only punishment)?
The Ducks were the heavy favorites for the Pac 10, were probably going to ranked in the top 5, and could contend for the National Championship. He doesn’t have a future in the NFL either. 2010 was supposed to be “the year”. Now that is taken away from him and the fact he messed up what was supposed to be a dream season will likely haunt him for the rest of his life. Also, he’s just a kid. Kids do dumb things.
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
except the Facebook thing wasn't Nelson's first offense
it frustrating to see people comment who don’t take all the time to get the facts.
Know what I mean?

Facebook post...
I don’t think you know much about that situation. or about him.

Darron Thomas is better anyway

Better than Masoli?
Not at running this offense. Masoli had a legitimate chance at winning the Heisman in 2010!

Thomas is a Dennis Dixon clone
Masoli’s good and all, but if there’s anyone else to do it, Darron Thomas is a superior choice. It really won’t be the end of the world.

nah
disagree
Masoli was pretty average

What an idiot. The world is his oyster. All he has to do is not screw up and he'll probably be a millionaire.
I guess he really wanted that laptop.

Yawn
Masoli was overrrated anyway. Would rather see Thomas.
