Thank you, Mrs. Turkolglu
for falling for the “Toronto has a great Turkish community” propaganda
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Its better than Portland
I’ll give them that. But still, FAIL!

Nah...
If you were a geek, you would have said..
PWNED

Wow the Toronto fans on RealGM are brutal!
I didn’t realize that Hedo was having that poor of a showing in Toronto.
Can’t say that I’m unhappy that we didn’t sign him, that is for sure!
"She turned me into a newt!
A newt?
...I got better."
He would probably play somewhat better in Portland, with his ability to run side pick and rolls plus Roy and Oden creating room to shoot. And he really has point-forward ability to set up others. I would imagine if he’s left as open as Nic and Martell and Rudy get some times, he’d be at least as deadly as he was in Orlando. That said, the length of the deal was more of a concern to me than the money he would make in years 1 and 2, and this combined with him not really wanting to be in Portland makes me happy he’s somewhere else. Plus there had been some not so nice stories about his behavior on the Turkish national team, though not out of Orlando or Sacramento. As for Toronto, if Bosh leaves them and maybe they don’t even get something back in a sign and trade, that team is in deep trouble with some long term deals for guys good enough to put you in the playoffs in the East but never go deep there.
if Greg had stayed healthy, yeah
that was the idea that Blazer management had, to use Hedo as a entry passer on the side PnR to get the ball to Oden on the move towards the basket. It would’ve been effective, like with D-How
If Turk had signed with Portland then Outlaw would’ve been dealt last summer (there was a deal in place with Memphis, according to Givony) but the logjam at SF would still have been pretty severe, especially after Batum returned from surgery (of course, it was not anticipated that Nic would miss half the season, back in July) Hedo could’ve played some stretch 4, but that lineup would’ve been pretty soft
In hindsight, a frontline of Turk and LMA would’ve been a disaster when Oden/Przy went down, but the Blazer’s brass had no way of anticipating that double-whammy ever happening, back on July 1

Probably would have both
Hedo and Andre for huge contracts and no playing time for Batum at all.
would've spent the extra money to steal Lamar Odom away from L*A
but that’s me

Hedo should have only gotten around 7 maybe 8mill a year
I don’t see that ending good if they’re already getting irritated with him. LOL
they look so good, thats why I keep em' in the front...

Love this quote by a Toronto Raptors fan:
I hate this woman. If it wasn’t for this woman, Turk would be Portland’s problem.

sour grapes set the teeth on edge
I think that’s a proverb
Speaking of proverbs, here’s one from Africa

I'm happier to let Batum develop.
He wouldn’t have gotten near the minutes with Hedo here. We’re better off in the long run.
The most hilarious thing out of all this is the ESPN writers that tried to jump on Kevin Pritchard after
signing Miller. They tried to say he failed in free agency, when we actually got the best free agent out there. Notice no articles on ESPN are talking about this now. They are ever so quiet about this subject over at ESPN.
true
no other off season acquisition has been as good as dre,
vince and jefferson, the two that were supposed to be the best have been disappointments, more so jefferson

this is bizarre considering it comes on the heels of a WSJ article praising Toronto as a place that has emerged as a very popular city for professional athletes (for both home and away teams).
2010-11 dream lineup: Oden/LMA/Batum/Roy/Dre; Okafor/Freeland/Cunningham/Webster/JB/Pendy/Mills.

THANK YOU BANUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of Portland thanks you. You are ALWAYS welcome here in Rip City. If / when we win a championship you will be remembered as an instrumental player in making that happen. You complete me. I will never forget you.
