I think that we were VERY lucky to get the win

It was a really horrible offensive game plan for the first 3 1/2 quarters. Roy was a total ball hog , it might have been the orders of Nate though. We needed more balanced scoring and no one really stepped up until the last 5 minutes. Defense was embarrasing, letting the Warriors get whatever shot they wanted. We need to play a lot better if we plan on winning at Sacramento.

And I was definitely end-of-the-world bemoaning as we went from 6 down to 16 down…that 3rd quarter was the dark side of the Blazers.

Luckily, the fourth quarter was exactly what we needed to do against the Warriors. They started taking 20 foot jumpers while we started taking it to the rack and getting offensive rebounds. So that part was fun, and I hope we play like that tomorrow.

Glad I finally watched a game with a positive feeling at the end, rather than a loss or a near-collapse.

LMA doing some big time stepping up after being in a horrid funk in the 4th.
Brandon Roy is back, or at least very close to it.

gs

Great to see the Blazers (especially Aldridge!) play well in crunch time for once, even if it was against one of the dogs of the NBA and their best players were fouled out. Today Golden State, tomorrow the L*kers?

We are due to for a win there sooner or later.

Man I wish I would have watched this game.

I made a promise to myself that I would never watch us play in GS anymore after last year. Something about that team in their house just gets my BP up big time. I hope this is a new era of beating the Warriors regularly at Oracle and not a fluke. Seriously, I rarely miss a game, but in the past I just get wayyyy too worked up when we play there. Sounds like Camby man is really starting to shine after tonights game. Go Balzers!!!

I don't blame you, probably a good move.

For about 3 quarters there it was reminiscent of the Floppette game.

Well, there wasn't MUCH flopping

But reminiscent of the suffering that ensued.

God he kills us. When we play him we should treat him like a superstar and just double immediately.

As soon as he gets a defender in ISO it’s over almost before he even makes his move and he gets to the line.

I like him kind of.

Just not against us. He’s pretty under rated and has been very steady and consistent in terms of getting to the line which isn’t easy. We have NO answer for him if he’s starting at the 4.

Was Dante in him at all? I would think he should do a pretty good job.

surprisingly, no

He didn’t play tonight, which was kind of confusing to me. Howard got killed out there tonight, he’s at a -9. I thought DC would do well in a game like this, but Nate had other ideas.

that's surprising to me too. Dante seems like a player that should do well against that retarted style of ball they play.

normally I love those rollercoaster games, but not at Oracle. That team just pisses me off.

I don’t know what it is. I hate watching us play them. They are exciting to watch for me, just not against the Blazers.

I was saying above. It’s like watching a pro boxer fight a bar brawler. They always have a punchers chance. It’s like in the fourth quarter Nate was like, oh yeah we can just rope a dope them (the zone) and win.

be careful what you wish for

“Man I wish I would have watched this game. "

Don’t be too sure. You may have missed the 4th quarter during your ambulance ride to the ER on account of the blood vessels you would have popped watching the first 3 quarters.

by lsjogren on Mar 11, 2010 11:26 PM PST reply actions

Or worse

You watching the game could’ve made them lose!

by thetsaiguy on Mar 11, 2010 11:27 PM PST up reply actions

I always think about things like that

“is me watching the game at a bar instead of online gonna make the blazers play worse?”

“is me going to sleep and not watching the game gonna make the outcome different than if I watched?”

“Is me beating up this 8 year old girl to steal her balloon gonna change the way rudy fernandez shoots the three tonight?”

albeit, against the dominant rebounding force of Tolliver.

Still he was a man amongst boys out there tonight. Even LaMarcus offensive rebounded tonight. i think he had like 5.

First comment of game thread at Warriors site before game started (look at final score prediction):
Game Predictions

    * The Portland Trail Blazers defeat our Golden State Warriors, 110-105.
    * Anthony Morrow leads the way with 25 points.
    * Corey Maggette attempts 10 free throws.
    * Brandon Roy comes close to a triple-double.
    * Marcus Camby blocks more shots than our entire team.
