So how can the Blazers play their game in GS?
I say give it to Brandon and let him do his thing. He will pace the game slower regardless, and cause GS to have to work on the defensive end. The worst thing you can do in GS is shoot quick, fast breaks are fine, but shooting early in the clock is death.

the players do what he says. Being the coach is like being the boss; if you don’t get it done, it’s your fault.
That's a huge part of coaching in the NBA
I don’t think there’s a big difference between most coaches, it’s how well you get the team to buy into whatever you’re doing. Most coaches get fired because they lose the team’s ear.

we’re too dang reliant on him sometimes. he isn’t lebron. no offense. but sometimes we think he is.

I think the chemistry seemed a bit better.

i think Roy is trying too hard to establish himself early. it worked better when he goofed off all game and then took over the fourth.
that gave everyone else the opportunity to get involved early.
i.e. last year
we would roll into 4th quarters down by 5 and Roy would only have 12 points.
and then BAM. he’d drop 12 in the quarter and we’d win.

he's just not as good as people expect him to be
he had a break-out year last year where he went from star to super-star and now people expect super-star from here on out.

put LMA at center and just ask him to rebound. forget posting up. just rebound.
Camby isn't even rebounding he has to guard a 3 point shooter in Tolliver
so yeah. Put LMA at center, Inferno at 4, Batum at 3, Roy/Miller at the 1/2

obviously you have to have the raw tools to work with, but at the end of the day, at the NBA level, the difference between poor defense and average defense (and average and good), is mostly effort and preparation. Same with rebounding.
