My father got called in yesterday for his operation, and he passed the spreadsheet to me. This won't be as good as his, but I'll try to do it before leaving for school every day.

Chasing Pack Game by Game Table -- Remaining Games
Sorted by difficulty, with road games against elite teams (top four in each conference) grouped together, then road games against playoff contenders, then home games against elites, home games against contenders, and road and home games against bottom feeders. Second of back to back games in italics, opponents on the second of a back to back in bold, both teams on a back to back in both bold and italics. The more games in the top part of the table, the tougher the schedule, the more white space up high the easier the schedule.

Projections
- L.A. 58.4 wins.
- Dallas. 55.9 wins (up from 55.5).
- Denver. 53.8 wins (up from 53.5).
- Utah. 53.6 wins (up from 53.2).
- Phoenix. 50.9 wins.
- OKC. 50.2 wins (up from 49.5).
- S.A. 48.1 wins (up from 48.0).
- Portland. 47.5 wins.

- Houston. 42.3 wins (same, down from 9th).
- N.O. 40.4 wins (down from 40.7).
Tonight
- Portland @ Golden State. Only game in the West that matters. Cat 3 "Banana Peel". We lost last time, terrible game. R Turiaf and M Ellis questionable for the game. We need revenge.
I can't really do analysis. Maybe someone else will do that. I will try to post the game results and spreadsheet things every day if people want me to. Thank you.

What?!! What operation?
Give Jscotsr my best and tell him to get lots of rest and then hurry back. This place will fall apart without the ruler of the world to keep it in line. He’ll have a lot of work to do when he returns.

Thank you, ma'am
I’ll tell him. He’s ok, but it will be a while.
Thank you, sir
I have my studies, but I do like watching the games when I can.
Best wishes Jscot
You’re not allowed to be too sick or hurt. I hope all goes well.
Good job Jr! Thank your ol’ man for everything, and make sure he gets better.
Love,
Mortimer

I second this post in every way.
Except my name isn’t Mortimer.

Great work jscotjr. All the best to your Dad
Get well soon JScot !

thanks, jscotjr, hope all goes well for your father
Firmly in favor of making a coaching change at the end of the season.

There's a jr?
It’s one thing to be ruler of the world, but an oligarchy? That’s scary…
Patty Mills - PG of the future. Book it.
Thanks for posting this! Good luck to your Dad!
Memphis win was big for them yesterday. We need to win one of the next two to keep the heat on both the Spurs and Memphis. In my mind it is now a three team race for 7,8 and 9.

The best to your Dad.
Thanks for filling in.

This has turned into the "Get Well Soon JScot" thread.
And that is a wonderful thing. Add my name to the list of well wishers.

Thank you, everyone
I will tell him tomorrow, hopefully.
Dear Everyone
I messed up. I knew this would happen, but I hoped it wouldn’t happen the first time. Sorry.
The projections are wrong. New Orleans lost, and I forgot to update the standings. They are a losing team now, which changes all the categories.
I’ll post the new ones in a couple minutes. Sorry again.
I think it's time to remove Boston
from the elite teams category and group them with the other middle of the pack playoff contenders.
I could ask him if you want, sir
I checked, and they are the same as Atlanta and both have lost their last two games, but Boston was total rubbish against Memphis. Boston is still near the top of the table, and I think they are still a good team.
There's two of them?
AAAAAIIIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Correct projections
1. L.A. 59.2 wins (up from 58.4).
2. Dallas. 56.4 wins (up from 55.5).
3. Denver. 54.2 wins (up from 53.5).
4. Utah. 53.5 wins (up from 53.2).
5. Phoenix. 50.9 wins.
6. OKC. 49.8 wins (up from 49.5).
7. Portland. 47.4 wins (down from 47.5, up from 8th).
8. S.A. 47.3 wins (down from 48.0 in 7th).
9. Memphis. 43.1 wins (up from 42.3 in 10th).
10. Houston. 42.0 wins (same, down from 9th).
11. N.O. 40.4 wins (down from 40.7).
I apologise again. It makes a big difference for San Antonio’s projection.
I hope this is how it plays out
Portland vs Dallas in the first round would be fun to watch, and has the possiblity of Portland pulling an upset.
LA vs the Spurs would be a tough opponent for them
Denver vs OkC would be entertaining at least
and Utah vs the Suns is also a good matchup.

As the OKC fan here,
I really fear the Denver pairing. If OKC doesn’t pass Phoenix, I’m praying Dallas falls to three.
Yikes!
For jscot the elder: An operation! I hope that it isn’t serious and that you get well soon. I will miss your comments — they are islands of rationality in a sea of, um, something.
For jscot the younger: I’m impressed that you’ve taken on this project while your father recuperates. Thank you.
Get Well Soon Jscot!
And a big thanks to JscotJr for filling in while Dad’s under the knife. We’re all hoping for a problem-free operation and a speedy recovery.

Head Czar of Amerika <--- Mortimer said so so there!!!
Wow.
While it is very nice to have these projections, I certainly hope jscot knows that they aren’t nearly as important as his health is! I can do without them if it is a source of stress for him right now.
Thank you for posting this jscotjr.
"She turned me into a newt!
A newt?
...I got better."
it's feasible
that OKC and Phoenix could actually switch 5th and 6th places with a couple bad losses for PHX (I know, OKC’s schedule is much tougher).
Lakers should wrap up 1st place, and I think Dallas is almost a lock for 2nd, but Denver and Utah could definitely battle for 3rd and 4th all the way to the end.

Sir, I was warned about you
Sir Winston Churchill said, “To be conservative at 20 is heartless and to be a liberal at 60 is plain idiocy.”
I am not yet 20, sir, let alone 60. I choose to think I am neither heartless nor idiotic. I do not know your age or political leanings, however, so I am unable to evaluate you.
I was just teasing because your dad often joins in political discussions here
I’m not sure of my political leanings as well.
I was just teasing, also
I was told all about you, and that’s why I said I could not evaluate you. I am told the inability of people here to evaluate you “reached epidemic proportions, and he seems to like it that way” (that is a direct quote).
Perhaps you are both heartless and idiotic, though my father does not think so.
That's pretty true
Almost everything I type here is tongue and cheek or sarcastic. Once people figure me out, they ignore me or join in. There are probably as many folks here who don’t like me that do like me.
Do you care if people like you?
My father always says not to worry about it, as long as you aren’t doing things that make you deserve to be not liked.
Not really
I’d rather be liked by everyone if I could. I just know I’m annoying. Being annoying is one of my strengths so it is inevitable that people won’t like me.
Your dad is right. People make up reasons to not like other people. If you’re not doing anything wrong, and they don’t like you, you’d probably not like them as well. Besides, it’s a pain in the neck trying to get everyone to like you, and I find those people annoying.
