He sort of reminds me of...

Alright it's a 'rookie' effort post, so please be gentle, but I gotta tell ya, Batum is so much fun to watch I can't help but play the similar game.'  Most players are easy to pigeonhole, but the more I compare (attaching the nearly cancerous potential tag) Nicholas to other players the more difficult it becomes. He's only 21 which means unless he is infected with  'tayshawnprinceitis' (an unexplainable inability to put on muscle or significant weight also suffered by Rasheed Wallace and Boris Diaw) he will proportionately fill out his sculpted 6' 10" frame. This rules out these two subjects (besides, when's the last time either was able to cover a point guard?). Andrei Kirilenko, the player I see him compared to the most is a career 30.9% 3-point shooter, Batum is showing this season he is capable of much better than that. I've even heard he's a poor man's Travis Outlaw, if by that you mean a one-dimensional gunner, then maybe, but seriously, Nicholas' basketball I.Q. passed Travis' in 4th grade (that being I think Travis could lead the league in scoring if he played 40 minutes a game for the Knicks, again that being said LeBron would probably average 60 ppg. for, said Knicks) Applying these hypothesis, give me a name, give me somebody! (while keeping in mind, he has yet to play 40 minutes or have a single play called for him...Heaven forbid he ever unleashes an inside game...) I think it's the ultimate copliment to a player when you can't find a comparison (do we really think there will be another 6' 9" point guard like Magic ?) So maybe this is a good thing....
