i think i read the other day that Outlaw is using them right now

so, safe to day the Blazers are well aware of, and likely use, them.

I know Roy does

ever since he had that trouble with his plantar fascia

This is a very complex issue

But they’ve been around for so long its hard to believe that they are not used when appropriate. GO doesn’t seem to have shimmed (sp?) shoes though his legs are different lengths. Perhaps an orthotic with a lift? Pryz never seemed to have foot problems (perhaps just not recently) may have really neutral feet (pronation). Orthotics have more uses for people with high and low arches.

Anyhew, link:

Greg had orthotics that evened out his legs for a while after the micro

But then he started to develop knee pain in the non-micro knee, so they switched to orthotics that don’’t even out his legs so much. Pretty sure I remember reading that Brandon uses some sort of insert for his talus bone problem, and LaMarcus for his plantar faschiitis. I wouldn’t be surprised if other players use them.

I remember reading that G.O. used one

but don’t remember reading that it made his knee hurt. That is kind of strange to me but anything doing ‘bad’ to Greggy’s knees should probably be analyzed by Jay jensen’s top notch staff. Is the pain something that means it’s bad to even out his leg-lengths, or is it that the tiny muscles and connective tissue are rebuilding to support a new way of his body being held up?

Orthotics have more uses for people with high and low arches.

Bill Walton has extremely high arches, who knows how many more games he could’ve played if they had this technology back in the ’70s?

When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

I wonder these kinds of things all the time

like what kind of career would Sam Bowie have had if today’s technology was around in 1984. Also, what technology in the future could hold together Greg Oden if it was available today?

MAYBE A KNEE BRACE WITH SOME PADDING ON IT???

does GO go to a chiropractor to adjust his leg lengths?

I'm going on a Dave boycott until AK1984 is brought back.

Um, I hope not

And I assume the team agrees, that he is much better off in the hands of orthopedists and physiatrists.

Still on the Rex bandwagon.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
