Pretty Simple. Patty Mills for Josh Powell. Benefits both teams slightly. Thoughts?

All of the players on our current roster aren’t “future” material.

I would say no.

Since these injuries began, I’ve been strongly against throwing away future valuables (Mills is a little questionable, but he definitely has talent) for scab players. So this isn’t our year, so what? There’s always next year.

Clarification

I don’t mean to use “Scab” in any way disrespectful to Powell. I’m referencing the concept of “Scab Workers”, those used to fill in positions left open by factory worker strikes.
Just clarifying here.

I don’t think that Mills will be here next year. He is on a one year contract and I feel that he is not big or talented enough to be on our roster in the future. I don’t think that this move would be worth it from the sense that wouldn’t be getting his full value back from a ‘potential’ standpoint but from my point of view, he is gone anyway after this summer so we might as well get something in return for him now in order to add a big man for the playoff push.

I kinda like it.

But I like Blake for Powell more.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Never.

I would rather trade Patty for a bag of popcorn.

His offensive game is based off of mid-range to long jumpers

He is an energy/rebound type of guy who fouls a little too often on D. He is a big body though and we could use some length.

Mills for Powell?

We need length, not another 6’9" player to commit fouls. We have that in Pendergraph, and he has more of an upside. Not worth it.

We are in the Future Now.

the window is wide open and will only close if we dont get a better coach and a gm that can use the pieces we accumulated to put together a championship quality team.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
