Normally I let these types of things slide

But that is the most nauseating thing I have read in a long time.

There are just so many things wrong with that article.

UGH

I stopped reading at Derek Fisher’s “We had every reason not to win this game.”

I hate that guy so hard. I’m struggling to figure out three reasons why they wouldn’t win that game. Uh, one, no Kobe, but that doesn’t really count because we don’t have Roy. Blazers home court advantage is a sure advantage. Then….nothing. Once again, I hate you Derek Fisher.

Lol

Nate could refute the argumentation of this article by pointing to Juwan Howard: “That is my starting center. He is 6’10” if you’re generous. Did I mention he turns 37 tomorrow? P.S.: I also miss my lone All-Star."

I read this last night....was pretty predictable.

I mean it is from the ESPN LA site so it was always going to be a disgustingly unbalanced analysis. I actually gained some respect for Pau from his comments after the game. The video is on the Blazers truehoop site (can’t remember the name) and he is asked how having no Kobe and Bynum for a half affected them and how did they pull through and Pau basically ran through all our injuries (Roy, Outlaw, Oden, Przy) as if to say, what do we have to complain about? It was unexpectedly reasonable….

Pau isn't a bad guy.

Gross.

The title alone is stupid. Who makes excuses for a win?

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

The writer is from espnlosangeles.com

can’t expect total neutrality. Take it with a grain of salt, folks.

its from ESPN LA

sites like those such as ESPN Boston, dallas, etc, will tend to have more bias

My Favorite Comment

“Awesome, awesome story Dave. I’ve already started writing the screenplay based on this article. We’ll be in touch. Oscars 2011, baby! Who could believe that a team with only three starters bigger than their opponents largest player, could win a game where both teams were missing their superstar? I regret ever being moved by the Miracle On Ice at this point.”

I wonder what ESPN will show...

when the Lakers are crap and Kobe is no longer playing……

by jenstcy on Feb 8, 2010 1:04 PM PST reply actions

They will just start to ignore them

Some other team(s) will have to take their place. Without Kobe, they’re still a pretty good team — obviously — even though most of their principles players are starting to age. They’ll be like the Spurs in 2-3 years unless a major deal is made. Bynum will not save them.

Look at what happened when Chicago got destroyed after Jordan and Jackson left. If you watched Sports Center it was as though the city of Chicago disappeared.

and the highlights suck too

Every time the blazers loose you can garuntee they get a maximum of one highlight, the laker blazer highlight was entirely laker offense. frankly I’ve stopped needing ESPN to validate my faith in the blazers, i know brandon will never let kobe walk out of that building with a win

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
