tony luftman returning?
so my friends and i were discussing tony luftman and how terrible he is, and decided to find out if he got another job. to my suprise, i stumbled on this link. http://www.basketballforum.com/portland-trail-blazers/392995-so-what-did-happen-tony-luftman.html. please tell me hes not coming back after the AS break. watching him try to be a halftime studio host is like watching chris kaman try to make a layup. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdwHIQKGsPc. or laz d rap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjangHVkuPk. does anyone know if this is true?

Tony: Tell ’em what you won, Mike!
Michael: Err… A new announcing partner who doesn’t have a cliched catch-phrase he feels forced to repeat several times whenever the camera is pointed at him… :/
made em jump like Rod Strickland

I just can't see them putting him back on TV. He was just dreadful. Bob Akamian is 10 times better.

Color me disappointed.
I was hoping he’d be coming back. I liked him better than any of the various personalities who have lately occupied the chair next to Michael.
I understand why many (most?) others on this site don’t want him back, but I enjoyed the sort of naive, small-towny enthusiasm he brought to the show. Portland isn’t New York or — grace a dios — LA, and there’s no use in getting uptight about the lack of attention and respect we get nationally. (And I say that as a Eugenian.) We should just relax and embrace our inner rubes.

I agree
He was “folksy”, which means that he technically might not have been Mark Jackson, but he was fun.
Then the entire arena froze as a primal, bloodthirsty shriek echoed through the seats and rafters. Beer vendors dropped their glasses, fans cowered, whistles fell out of refs' mouths, Coach Nate fell backwards into his seat, Monty Williams grew hair, watched it turn grey, and then sobbed as it fell out again all in an instant, and the Suns' blue and orange road uniforms suddenly included a conspicuous amount of yellow. B-Rex had arrived. And he was angry.

Bob Akamian is good. He's definitly grown on me. His replacements or stand ins make
me appreciate him even more. And I really like the Coach ? Michael H.

Hey, guys, back off of Tony
It’s not his fault he was born without a personality.
I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I thought Bob Akamian ate him.
(Sorry Bob, I couldn’t resist…)
