Blazer Fan Haunts and Hangouts Ptown
I'm thinking of moving into Downtown Ptown(live near Sandy now, commute to Oregon City for work is laaame) and was wondering what some good places/venues were for sports bars and the like for Blazers Fans. I assume that place that held Talkin Ball is decent?
Also, any recomendations for highrise apts downtown? The Commodore looks pretty good overall, and I plan on selling my car to save money so biking/walking/Trimet for me, and most likely shift my job to Gresham area within my company(Albertina Kerr).

The place that held Talkin' Ball is gone
Owners were morons. They were trying to run an LA club in Portland (no sports jerseys allowed).
The Cheerful Bullpen is nice and the Buffalo Wild Wings downtown always fills with fans during games (even if it does have a strong propensity to show a lot of MMA).
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
the pizza schmizza
pub and grub on montgomery…
50 cent wings and dollar beers during blazer games… think the pizza is discounted as well..
during the game nothing but fans..
There was an article in Willamette Week
a little while back that reviewed a bunch of bars as venues for Blazer games. I haven’t really fallen in love with any place though. I like Pizza Roma on Woodstock, but is a ways away from downtown.
As far as apts goes, a lot of the planned condo projects around downtown got converted to apartments so there seems like there’s a lot more of the newer stuff to choose from than there used to be. I have friends that have and are living in some of the older (and more affordable) buildings on or near Vista and they seemed happy there (close to MAX, too)
Holding out for Hedo
I live in the Commodore now
and it’s fine. The manager is nice and the rooftop terrace is good on days like these.
My local place for games is “the Marathon” which has a partially deserved reputation of grimeyness, but all my friends like to go there to watch the games and drink the 2.50 personal pitchers.
I finally went to the Mission to catch a game, and it was awesome. Good crowd, tasty “rubinators”

Ahh good stuff, thanks for the info.
We actually looked at Pacific Tower and 5th Avenue Apt, both next to each other in China Town, not too shabby, though it will be several months before we can make the move.
