I have no sound at work.

Anyone want to briefly summarize?

Mostly just messing with him about trying to get that shot off

Travis: “Since you’re a rookie, we should have told you that you gotta hold the ball at the end, and we should have let Rudy know as well.”

Patty: “But you were the one yelling for me to shoot it…”

brief pause

Travis: “No uh, I was laughing because you were going to shoot it…”

Also he talks about how he has been running drills and playing blake one on one to improve his game since he isn’t getting time on the court.

Seems to me that he should be playing Bayless one on one, Blake is a great team player, but Bayless is the one with the one on one offensive and defensive skills.

Portland could coast along with their superior talent and stay right with us. Now that Portland woke up, the hammer cometh down.

I love the "Talkin' with Travis" videos.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

Check out his arms!

It looks like he’s gained a couple of inches on them. I hope he uses his new bulk and strength for getting a few rebs.

You know, I was kind of making fun of Mike Rice

because of that one game where he was like “I saw Travis working out in the gym, and he looked GREAT”, but WOW. How did he gain so much in so short of a time… was he that big before the injury?

by Liface on Feb 4, 2010 7:20 PM PST up reply actions

nothing else to do, I guess

Rice and Barrett made a comment last summer on Courtside about Travis, they said he told someone that he didn’t want to put on any upper-body strength during the offseason because then “he wouldn’t be able to jump as high”

yes, he did

It’s good to see that he’s taking his role as backup PF more seriously…maybe it was watching Pendy and Ferno scrapping these past few months that has “inspired” Catfish?

Wow, he's looking pumped.

Maybe he can turn into a Gerald Wallace-esque 3/4 with better shooting. That would be sick.

would he have a new brain too?

That’s aggressive on defense and offense? Unless you got a whole personality transplant for him G-Wall is a far-fetched hope.

while travis is out

they should just have him handle the post game interviews

the few, the proud, the blazers

by HD on Feb 3, 2010 12:25 AM PST reply actions

That would be awesome

and a HUGE improvement over Rebecca.

Trav is the new Tone

I wrote a ‘shot about this a few months back. All those Blazers in rehab could’ve done double-duty as courtside announcers on TV and radio. Who needs Rice and Harvey?

Rudy understands the power of the Chalupas

so he had to try to get it to 100 pts.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
