andre miller once offered me his car too

with the stipulation that i drove it down to mexico, let some of his buddies “inspect” it, and didn’t ask any questions. i would have done it too but i had a cold that week

Dre just did that because he didn't want to have to give him a ride anywhere

Wait, what? I’m not Tih.

Nice gesture, Dre.

I’m excited too. This addition could could add some energy for the final push if he plays and fits well early, which is likely. We’ll miss our boys, but this could be fun.

A thought I've had...

Why do people care if TiH doesn’t like Andre Miller? You can think it’s ignorant, unjustified, stupid or childish but at the end of the day it’s his opinion.

It doesn't bother me at all, just like any opinion about anything from anyone.

What bothers me is when he purposely tries to bait people into arguments, or spams threads in an attempt to annoy people. He’s just been beating the same dead horse for sooooo long now.

The opinion is fine but trolling the site looking for reactions is pretty lame.

Batum brings the doom.

by The Running Man on Feb 19, 2010 1:09 AM PST up reply actions

I don't "really" care

He’s definitely entitled to his opinion, but if he is going to express is incessantly, every chance he gets, whether or not it applies to the discussion at hand, he’s gonna get ribbed for just as frequently. I’m pretty sure it’s all mostly in good fun, and I’m also pretty sure Tih doesn’t mind so much. He’s not necessarily looking for followers from where I sit.

Why do people care if folks give Tih a hard time about his constant harping on Dre? As mentioned below, he’s beating on the decayed remains of the rotted corpse of a dead horse. People just beat back. Is that so wrong?

I'm not surprised he knew the plays.

We only have 2 or 3 we run.

Seriously though I’m glad we picked him up. He was a guy I wanted but figured the Clips would hold out and want more like Washington did with Haywood. Seeing Outlaw in another team’s gear just isn’t right though.

I have this guy on my fantasy team!

Let me tell ya…his jumper looks bad but he puts up BIG numbers! He is an absolute beast inside…every Blazer fan is gonna love Camby by the end of the season. Mark my words…People will be like “Joel who?”

I actually hope we resign Marcus for a reasonable amount. He could be a very nice addition to the front court. He can also slide over and play the 4, so even if (IF) Greg and Joel are healthy and play through, Camby could get some solid minutes. I cant imagine that he will be getting a contract like this one in the future. He is 35 and is injury prone…lets not forget that fact.

If we could resign him for around $5 mill for 3 years i would do it.
Especially since we dont have to pay Greg or Joel the big bucks now either. Those two injuries could be one of the best things to happen to our cap space in a long time. This team may actually be able to stay together.

There was some ESPN guy on THE FAN yesterday..Roy Bucher? Anyway he said it is his OPINION

that there is ZERO chance Camby will re-sign with the Blazers. Immediately I thought “you are an idiot”. I think Camby will re-sign. I think that he will love playing with the Blazers.
Also Greg and Joel are both iffy …playing time wise. Greg will be ready at the start of the season and I will be holding my breath waiting for his next injury. Joel, while very much more sturdy suffered a severe injury. I am not sure he will be back to playing form by mid-season if ever. Hope he proves me wrong. Anyway, I think we need Camby. And I don’t think Camby will expect an unreasonable amt of $ for his next contract. The Blazers may take a medical exemption or whatever you do…with Joel and have no trouble affording Camby’s contract.
Bucher took none of this into account.

by Natsthecat on Feb 19, 2010 1:37 PM PST up reply actions

Hard to say

Camby is the kind of player that can pretty much write his own ticket to wherever he wants to go. He’ll be of the age that no one is going to give him more than 3 years, and there isn’t a team in the NBA that wouldn’t add Camby to their roster for a reasonable deal. I imagine he’ll end up playing wherever his family feels like living. Camby, while always competitive, doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who will do whatever it takes to latch on to a contender.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
