I wonder if Pritchard can bear to watch it.
He might just get on the phone and beg Dunleavy to rescind the trade.
That really was painful.
They look like two kids that got lost in the woods or something. I want them both back right now. Hopefully they can resign in the summer. They belong here!
Travis Outlaw fan from the beginning.
Blake and the Blazers - like Richard Burton and Liz Taylor
…two marriages and divorces down, at least one more marriage due.
It doesn't seem right that the Clippers should actually have that on their own site.
It’s like saying “we break our players’ spirits – see?”
Wow. Heartbreaking. The purgatory of the Clip-joint.
Luckily, both Blake and Outlaw have a chance this summer to improve their situation. Here’s to Trout at Memphis and Blake at Miami.
Best to both of you!
I can't even bring myself to click the play button on that.
I love that we got Camby. But I hate that we had to give up those two to do it. :(
Why couldn’t we just have Camby for free?
Sign Steve Blake to a long term contract now!
I changed my mind
I no longer think it was a good trade. Watching that hurt my soul.
I dont think they have played their last game as a blazer
I was starting to feel good about the trade and then i saw this
im hoping we can get both of them back in the off season
this hurts
im watching the clipper game right now
i cant stand watching blake in blue and white
there is something wrong if we are this upset
Not sure if Blake would want to come back after being traded twice from Portland
The NBA- so easy a Kaman can do it
On 95.5
Quick said Blake and McMillan talked on the phone after the trade and Blake said he was happy for the Blazers, and thought that Camby was the right guy to do.
Blake knows this is a business. I’m sure he’d be happy to come back for the right deal.
I wouldn't mind having Blake back as a steady PG off the bench
but not as a 30+ minute a night starter
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
blake 1st half line
0/4, 5 assists, 3 boards, 0 TO

???
I read 0/4, 5 assists, 2 boards, 3 TO, 13 +/
Make that plus/minus of -13
The worst in the game.
Still feel bad for him and his family though.
That's just weird

I started to watch and had to stop
broke my heart.
wake me in 2011
Feels like
two of my brothers wrongly convicted and sentenced to public humiliation.
"almost" painful?
travis outlaw did everything he could to smile and couldnt. he belongs in a blazer uniform.
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
they said all the right things
but looked like they’d want to be anywhere but there
It seemed kinda like when you are in a really bad mood
but trying to act normal.
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
All of the above.
That hurts, because we see them as one of our own, and so do they. They bought in like fans do.
Sorry, but they were the only tradable contracts in an Expiring-for-Expiring deal. Blazers had to get a big. The right move.
But it still sucks, but only because we/they care.
Only one can return at same pay scale. Which one?
We may end up with the chance to keep Camby and have one return.
But it still sucks.
Painful to watch – hard not to squirm in your seat and look away.
I hope they both do very, very well and earn better contracts.
Travis and Steve will alway have lots of Blazer fans.
I like the Blazers a little less for this.
We aren’t winning a championship this year. What is the point of the betrayal when it is just for a rental?
In Bayless I trust.

I think we might resign Camby.
And I wouldn’t consider this “betrayal” (although being traded to the Clips is a tough pill to swallow)
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
Yeah, not a betrayal
Especially for Outlaw. He’s young, single, and wants to be a star. Not likely to happen for him in Portland, but maybe he can get starter minutes and more shots in LA.
I feel bad for Blake’s family. It’s tough being away from young kids. But Marcus Camby feels the same way. His family is settled in LA.
That’s why one can hardly call it a betrayal. Cuts both ways.
By all accounts they've made their home in Tualatin and don't want to move

We could resign Camby
but he’s 35. People are amazing that Juwan is doing as good as he is, and he was 36 most of this season.
Travis Outlaw fan from the beginning.
Because Camby is old, we could get him cheap.
He can play the 4 or 5 and is great assurance when one of our centers get hurt. And he is still getting 12 rebounds per game
Get well Greg! Rip City is still behind you!
He is old
but his play has not yet started the downhill slide. I don’t think we will be able to get him all that cheap, but he might be somewhat affordable if KP wants to go that route…
RUDY > MJ
Thank you KP
As sad as it is to watch.
These are the things you sign up for when you put your signature on a multimillion dollar contract. I think they will live…

Watch at 3:36
Outlaw’s phone starts buzzing and he cracks a little smile after stopping it.
Maybe it was Blake texting him from under the table: “GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!”

You sure that was his phone?
Looked to me like someone was recording it on their phone and got a call in the middle of it, which Travis silenced.
I think it was his iPhone
I cracked up at that point. Also at the look he gave when the lady came and moved his mic.
I love these guys too, and I’ll continue to do so whichever team they play for.

That was the saddest press conference video I've watched in ages
I feel so bad for those guys. The only thing positive thing I can take from this is that I’m glad they’re in this together.
Travis just looked SHELLSHOCKED
Remember, he’s been in Portland since he was 18. This is gotta be super weird for him. At least Blake has been around the block a few times.
Nothing but love for both of them. Here’s hoping Travis turns his opportunity the last 30 games into a nice deal this summer.

That was sad, I have to admit...
Thus is life though, hopefully they can make the best of it. Especially Outlaw, this could be really good for him. He is going to get a way better chance to show what he can do than he ever would have got in Portland. I hope he can take advantage of it…
RUDY > MJ
Thank you KP
I take back all those "Trade Outlaw" statements
…… SIGN OUTLAW

Damn...Sorry guys. You will always be Blazers to us...Always part of the family.
There’s always a chance we bring them both back for next year. My hope for Steve is that his family gets their wish and he is brought back to Portland next year. For Travis, I hope that his star rises in the next 30 games and he is able to pick from any number of teams for his next contract…Maybe even Portland!
At least we can hope for one positive thing to happen,
Maybe now that Travis is in a bigger media market, the press will stop confusing him with Bo Outlaw….

i started missing outlaw the second he was traded
now i am depressed
(not really) just super sad
Batum doesn't use email,
he uses his mind to transmit his thoughts to other people. that is how he intimidates his opponents without ever talking to them
rec before this is gone!!!

Steve Blake
used “we” when talking about Portland. It’s sad.
What a surreal sight
Man it was weird seeing that. It gave me a similar feeling to when my dog died.

this is really sad
on a related note, i didn’t players were allowed to wear t-shirts to press conferences. I thought they had to wear collared shirts

Man, I'm shocked they weren't wearing blindfolds
with lit cigarettes in their mouths.
Good on Blake going Nuke LaLoush on ’em with his sports cliches, though.

I thought Bedge didn't allow this?
Showing Blazers wearing “Clippers” shirts is profanity.
And those guys will always be Blazers.
Give Blake the MLE in 2010!
Farewell to #2 and #25, good luck to you!

I can't watch it.
I love this trade, but just seeing the still photo of the conference made my heart break.

I could only watch half of it.
They look & sound like two kids that just heard that their dog has to be put down. :-(
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
Wow, that was depressing
I hope Outlaw gets his shot. The only thing that makes me feel better after watching that, is knowing it’s only 27 games and that they’re free to seek a better opportunity this summer.
Witty Unpredictable Talent and Natural Game
Painful! At least they have each other to get through the rest of this season.
Blake and Outlaw loved the Trailblazers. I hope they know they will always be welcome and beloved in Portland. Things happen for a reason. Holton always mentions challenges and opportunities, and here is a good example. Make the best of this, they will be better for it for sure.
Yeah its kinda sad...'cept...
These guys are paid millions of dollars to play a sport they love. They can deal with 1/2 a season playing in a dumpster.. They will both go to better teams with more opportunity next year. Sure it kinda sucks to see them go, but this team wasn’t going to get any better without doing something.

That was surreal
and painful to watch. I understand why KP made the move, but it doesn’t make me feel any less bad for Blake and Trout. And, somehow, knowing they’re not going to be on the floor for Portland makes me feel the Blazers aren’t quite the Blazers any longer. I know the feeling will pass, but still…
I hope, for both their sakes, they can get out of Clipperville and get to teams they really want to be on and that they have great success with those teams. They both fit the “culture” management wanted to create here, but fitting that culture didn’t keep them here when push came to shove.
#25! #2!
Duct tape makes you smart.
It is so sad on so many levels
I think what bothered me the most was that the reporters acknowledged that it was unfortunate for them to be traded to the Clippers. It seems like they were interviewing two dog that got sent to the pound.

I know dude. Those reporters.
So Steve, Travis, you just got dumped onto this remaining worthless clippers season…how do you feel?

dysfunctional team, out of the playoffs… how do you like that guys ????
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH
SUPER !!!!
Re-sign Travis Outlaw !
God, that was awful. I've never seen a press conference where newly acquired players were so down.
I feel guilty for wanting to trade them away for so long.
"What people need to know is that those pictures were taken a year and a half ago, and I've grown since then." - Greg Oden
ALMOST painful?
If that’s only ALMOST painful, I’d hate to see what constitutes actually painful. That literally hurt to witness. Don’t know if either should be back in a Blazers uniform, but definitely will miss them and wish them the best of luck in free agency.
I think BRoy was sending Outlaw a text
saying, don’t worry, you’ll be back this summer…
he cracked a smile towards the end.
I was far from an Outlaw supporter but I hate to see good guys go to the Clips
Baron Davis is one thing, even though his situation sucked (Brand saying he was going to LA then backed out), Boom Dizzle kind of seems like a dick (entertaining on and off the court though).
Outlaw and Blake looked like they were wishing they had the Fremont bridge to jump off of

I guess the one positive way of looking at it is this:
They are multi millionaires living in L.A. for 3 months for a nice vacation.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
Ouch! But look at it like this: this is the price of acquiring nothing but character guys
Namely, when you make a needed trade, you’re always going to be trading great people. And that’s always going to feel wrong.
But I do think this trade had to happen, and not entirely because the Blazers were big-deficient due to injury. There were log jams at point guard & small forward, and a coming numbers crunch. You simply have to give Nic Batum, Rudy, Bayless, & Cunningham long minutes. Without significant minutes, guys can’t get a rhythm and develop. How was that going to happen with Blake and a healthy Outlaw on the roster? Something had to give eventually.
Hopefully Blake and Outlaw’s Clipper-Land purgatory will only be for the remainder of this season. They should be able to handle 30-odd games of hell. Hey, fact is, they’re still NBA players, making great money and living the dream. More or less…
I was born in '52, and I believe in #52. Hang in there, GO.
You too, Przy: everyone knows you're the heart & soul of the Blazers.
All of you guys have such pity for millionaires.
Seriously? It’s their profession. Get over it.

They look like guys that have been kidnapped
Like when americans get kidnapped in a foreign country and the kidnappers allow them to give an interview on tv. They seem to always have a blank expression on their face,no emotion in their voice and made to wear the kidnappers type of garb…thats what Blake and Outlaw looked like to me…..very sad to watch, but at least their kidnappers will release them in the next couple months
Never seen two players look more miserable after being traded. Travis might as well be saying, "I'm going
back to Portland after my contract expires".
yeah, I think he will come back for free,
but let’s keep that quiet for his sake.
Re-sign Travis Outlaw !
I almost cried watching this, trav looked so sad. Kp i hope you see this you jerk.
Momma.....der go dat man
Wow, can't throw out the word opportunity that many times with that look on your face
and not know that’s exactly the opposite of how they view the situation.
I almost couldn’t bring myself to hit the play button. I really feel bad for them both, but at the same time, its just a move that would have happened a few months later. I hope things work out well with both of them and who knows, one day one or both of them may be in a Blazer jersey again.
