Will Sergio come back to Portland for the rest of this season?
Acording to ACB.com, there´re trade rumors about Sergio ("Sergio no jugó entre rumores de traspaso"). I wonder whether the Blazers would like to get Sergio back, or not, once Blake is gone. They might be thinking about Rudy´s recent struggle to use his play off the ball and about Roy´s injury, because it might force to play Bayless at SG and it makes more important to get the best Rudy back. Besides, if the Blazers are thinking about a possible next summer trade involving Rudy, it might help to pair him with Sergio for the rest of this season. A third PG string from a no-playoff-candidate with a cheap expiring contract I guess wouldn´t cost anything we care much about.
On the other hand, Sergio´s been playing very well but he´s been benched because Tyreke and Udrih, who´s not playing better than Sergio but has a big and long contract, while Sergio has an expiring one, and that counts a lot for the Kings. They have no interest in promoting Sergio. So Sergio is condemned to not play for the Kings for the rest of the season if someone else´s injury don´t help him. And he had a very good time playing for Portland at the end of the last regular season.
Well, at least Sergio debates are back. You can hate or love Sergio. Express yourself and so help Tom to feel better.

of course.
where all former polarizing blazer players land at some point in their career.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they picked up Troutlaw this offseason.

It would be fun if he came back
I don’t know if he’d be happy about it though.

Sergio got traded for nothing, I doubt they want locker room poison back. Unless he has changed his (I need minutes) tune there is no need to step on that bees nest again.

I would only want him back if it was for more than this season.
I was sad to see him go, but I hoped he would find a more satisfactory role with the Kings — with more minutes or, perhaps, with less second-guessing. I still would like to see him in that kind of situation, but it cannot happen in Portland with the personnel on this team and the coaching staff here.
#52
it'd be worth it
if it would help get rudy back in synch
for 26 games, sure. why not.
This season’s already been stranger than fiction anyhow.

No thank you
I wish him the best somewhere else.

I love Sergio
I realize he’s not that “good” per se, but he was one of my favorites.
that'd be awesome
he fits with the second unit much better than bayless, i think.

Yeah sergio is just not that good
Sorry. Some people were saying it was the Blazers who were holding him back from his greatness. He doesnt look so hot now. Teams are trying to trade him around like a hot potato.
Love Sergio
and he’d be a nice long term backup PG if not for Nate. I’m hearing Mike Conley is available again for an expiring contract and a first round pick. It wouldn’t be hard for us to turn what we have with a third team into Mike Conley. Now that Blake is gone, Miller is old, we need a true point guard. Mike Conley is the perfect fit here. He’s 22 years old is a great team guy, shoots 42% from 3, has some of the best handles in the league and is capable of staying in front of the quicker point guards that the rest of this team has trouble with.
KP tried for Blake, probably many times, Memphis didn't bite
And they are not moving Bayless for him.
I don't see why we need another point guard?
One of the benefits of the camby trade was that it cleared up logjams both in the wings and backcourt.
without Roy
there’s just Andre at the PG, Bayless and Rudy are 2 guards who aren’t ready to handle the pressure of running a team in a playoff hunt, not to mention a playoff series
of course, Sergio isn’t “that” guy either. KP should be looking for an experienced veteran PG who can back-up Miller to make sure the wheels don’t come completely off in the “late first-early 2nd” quarters, against superior defensive teams

Without Roy,
backup PG is the least of our worries.

without Blake
Porltand would have lost that game last week in Phoenix. Bayless and Rudy were brutal
Even with a healthy Roy, there isn’t always going to be “overlap” when Brandon and Andre are on the floor. Against the Clippers it doesn’t matter, Rex and Rudy can find a way to get open shots (although things got tight in the 4th quarter until Miller returned and Martell did his Roy impersonation) But when the L*kers, Jazz, Nuggets (etc) clamp down the defense and ratchet up the pressure will #4 and #5 have the poise to get the Blazers into their half-court offense and get a good shot or at least FTs? In a hostile environment when the home team is on a run, can they calmly bring the ball up, get the other players into position and execute the offense?
I’m not just talking about the 4th quarter, but earlier in the game when Miller is getting a rest. Contending teams “smell blood” when young guards come in the game, as the WC teams jockey for playoff positioning, there will be no holds barred and no quarter given.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE!
BRING BACK SERGIO! DO IT NOW! HE IS AWESOME. HE’S ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER. HE CAN PLAY BOTH ROY OFFENSE AND SERGIO ATTACK OFFENSE. HE’S A DUEL WEAPON WHO WORKS HARD AND WANTS TO BE ON THAT FLOOR. NATE EITHER NEEDS TO LEARN TO USE HIM OR PACK HIS BAGS.
PLEASE… GET SERGIO BACK!

Trust me
If Sergio comes back, Nate will be perfectly happy to pack his (Sergio’s) bags for him and send him on his way.

What if Nate learned what he needed to learn this year
And all the sudden he’s thinking about what Sergio offered and wanted him back. What if Nates next man crush, became a true love mancrush, and it was for Spanish Chocolate?
I for one, and the 20 plus percent who also want him back, would be in heaven.
