coach karl had prostrate cancer several years ago, and responded well to treatment. he apparently has another type of cancer now, and will take a leave of absence. will be curious to see how and if it impacts denver nuggets basketball, and possibly the blazers in the jockeying for position over the next couple months. coach karl is an underrated and often under appreciated coach, in my opinion. his patience with anthony and smith has really helped solidfy that team.
