Antoine Walker to start comeback in d-league with Blazers affiliate

The Idaho Stampede that the Blazers share with the Nuggets as their affiliated D-League team were highest on a kind of waiver wire and picked Walker up when the former All-Star and NBA Champ and "I would shoot 4 point shots if that was possible" star signed a contract with the NBA's minor league. He'll play his first game tomorrow. All games are officially streamed free on Futurecast, a kind of League Pass for the D-League. No word yet on if the Blazers will assign Armon or Luke (Elliot seems unlikely to get healthy during the season) to their team at some point like they briefly did with Patty last year. A few teams already have assigned a couple of prominent names from the last two drafts this year (e.g. Terrence Williams, Orton, Lawal, Davis, White, Dominique Jones,...), also using the league for rotation players working back from injuries (Flynn, Beaubois). Players are eligible as rookies and sophomores while under an NBA contract. Update: And there it is, Luke Babbitt got assigned to the Stampede to meet and learn from Antoine Walker
