Instead of quit how about we rally?
I am not talking about the team I am talking about us as a fan base. Listen I am as die hard of a Blazer fan as it gets and I have felt like I have been punched in the gut about 22 times over the last couple years just like everyone else. I also understand that as we stand our team is not looking poised to make a run as it once was. Yet this is our team, I do not want to be a fan base that is yelling RIP City at the top of our lungs when times are good and running for the hills when things turn rough. A lot of you im sure will post your comments saying how im a homer, you know what I am I love this team, whether Brandon Roy can come back and be anything close to the caliber of player he was is to be seen. Will Oden be back ever? We don't know, what I do know is I see a team with genuine, good guys on this team. I see a team that can still make the playoffs even if it is at a 8 seed. As hard as it is to not think about what could of been why don't we instead in enjoy what is? To me that is a team that wont give up, doesn't quit no matter how many injuries they have and still has a shot to turn this thing around.

I like your style dude.
Sure things might not be looking great right now, but look on the bright side. I have liquor.

The Dude abides.
Nicolas Batum is the future of the Blazers
Hey, here's is a better way to think of our situation.
I hope others read this. It sounds crazy, I know. But just here me out.
Fact: Oden- Hurt for a long time.
Roy- Future uncertain.
Our team- going “nowhere.”
Now, the last one, I don’t know if you guys want to call that a fact. But just stick with me here. Knowing that those are facts, how about if we ignore the facts, and think of it THIS WAY (It’s actually more comforting, in my opinion anyways.)
2006 draft- We drafted LMA…. and ONLY LMA…
2007 draft- We got the rights to a very valuable player: Greg Oden…. of…. Spain…. He is currently playing overseas, which is why he is not with us right now. (He will be 23-24 when he plays for us)
2008 draft- We drafted a young, talented Frenchie. Batum!!!
2009 draft- …. who did we pick in this draft? Oh, Dante and Pendy( I really did forget for a moment). We also picked up Miller.
2010 draft- Who ever we drafted in this draft… but we ALSO signed an All-Star caliber player in Brandon Roy.
Now, if we think of it this way (even though it’s not true), we can save ourselves from disappointment. And, we can [once again] postpone our expectations for a championship. Right?

2006 – we drafted lma and roy .. but look at it now .. we could had been stuck with ty thomas and foye. If we had Thomas and Foye, we would still be a lottery team now. Besides Rondo and perhaps Millsap, we ended up with two top players.
LMA will one day become an all-star and potentially the next Tim Duncan and I think he can be one. People have given no hope on Oden and Roy.. Oden is not even 23 yet, he deserves a a chance. Roy has been leading this team for the past 5 seasons. Like it or not, he gave this team some hope. (I still think he took take the whole year off) Miller has been a great signing for us. We got assets from Europe who will one day arrive to Portland and take this team to a new level.
There is no need to push for trades now. I’m sick about this trade Roy talk. Give him hope like he gave the whole team hope.
As a season ticket holder, I agree
lets appreciate what we have. See what these guys can do and get behind. It is like good literature, I read for the story, even the little life lessons or sociological commentary, not whether it has a happy ending or not

Here's an idea.
Let’s puke. THEN rally!
Party on Blazerfans!
Roman style?
Nicolas Batum is the future of the Blazers
binge and purge?
that was a pretty weak indulgence, but OK.

people should start buying tickets off of scalpers and fill the seats for these sold out games as well
Roy is like herpes...he comes and goes, but we are stuck with him for life.
Dude,
I’m so bitter about my Comcast subscription, I mean extortion, I just don’t think I could pay to see close games against weak teams, and losses to the good ones. I take it far too personally, the money, and the Blazers.
Besides, if no one bought tix from scalpers, what would happen?

people would continue to complain
that the blazers are reporting sell outs, yet the seats are remaining empty….so in reality…nothing would happen
Roy is like herpes...he comes and goes, but we are stuck with him for life.

As long as Rudy is playing like he is playing I have faith
I believed in Aldridge. I felt like he was a year away at the most. I believed in Rudy too until he just his the bottom against the Mavs. 0-5 with shots that looked off from the moment they left his hand. In the last few games he has looked comfortable like he is part of a system he believes in. He is playing his game. If Rudy can keep it going then we wont miss Roy as much.
I agree with this post.
This team may be injury riddled but give them some faith. We got great guys like throughout the team. Roy, Miller, Camby, Przybilla and all the way to my favourite little man Patty Mills. This team does have potential. There is no need to break apart this team. Give it time. Our time will come around.
