Repost of Kersey on Roy
The statements came before Roy's apology on Wednesday, but Kersey said of the Blazers three-time All-Star, "You have to keep credibility. Being that this is the second time this has come up, I think Brandon is going to start to lose credibility with his teammates."
Kersey was particularly irked that Roy didn't say the names of the player (Andre Miller) he was apparently venting about. The former Blazers star said if he were Miller, he'd tell Roy: "You got a problem with me? This is coming straight. We can do this. We can do this anywhere we want to do it. If you're talking about me, say my name. You got a problem, come to me."
What happened to the humble Roy of 4 years ago? Complaining, whining, and throwing teammates under the bus isn't what many of us saw when we embraced him as a rookie.

Humble Roy was just a product we were sold. The note on his locker was because he needed a constant reminder to keep his head, it’s not like it was written mystically in a spiderweb as a reward for his overwhelming humbleness. This year the note should read “Some Pig”

being humble
doesnt mean sitting back and watching the roster get reduced to patty mills, armon johnson , luke babbit, andre miller and wesley matthews.
Oh please. Roy is done, denial sucks.

the roy of 4 years ago was removed with his meniscus
Roy is starting to realize he will never be half the player he was. The guy can barely get 10 points against good opponents, and he knows he robbed the this franchise of around 80 mill.
feel sorry for portland
Is that guy 28 or 38?

...
This is Roy’s way of venting I guess. Until he realizes that the problem is himself.
Would make a good crappy M. Night Shyamalan movie, where the big twist at the end is Roy realizing his knee is dead the whole time.

Roy was always like this, we just didn't pay attention because he was producing
Even when he wasn’t being so blunt about it, it was clear that he truly believed this franchise belonged to him
The Leeroy Rule: being insistent >>>> being correct
and the stupid franchise
catered to him all the way. This is supposed to be an example of professionalism? I totally agree about Roy..have said it back in the ’illusion" years when he expected the team to compliment him and not the other way around. How pathetic this is.
"You play good defense and let your offense generate from that. You will find that success of your offense, is proportional to the extent of your defensive diligence." Jack Ramsey philosophy (it works)
Yeah, the kumbaya warm snuggly feeling had to end sooner or later. I'm still a fan of Roy, but I am troubled by this. I think it's too early to cast judgement on all of this though.
Everyone makes mistakes and says things they don’t mean that they later regret. Also, the “source” for that Broussard article could very well ( IMHO likely ) been Quick or Canzano, and those guys have a vested interest in Blazer controversy it seems. I’m not giving up on him being our franchise leader yet.
Always intense.
This "mistake"
has been going on for over a year now AND included Greg Oden before he went down with injury.
This mistake has involved Oden getting thrown under the bus, LMA getting trown under the bus, Miller getting thrown under the bus, the rest of the roster (just hit your shots to give me spacing type comments).
Brandon wants the magic back from the surprising 08-09 season, he has never realized that the franchise moved on, it ain’t the same…
Now his knees have made him not the same player, he is changed the 08-09 Brandon does not exist anymore. Yet he is still unwilling to accept that and make needed changes.
"Oh Yeah!" ~ Kool Aid Man
Lots of athletes throw their teammates under the bus
and lose their minds in the process.
But to sink an entire franchise when, in concert with your agent, you leveraged public opinion to secure a max contact all the while knowing your knees were going out?
That’s pretty rare.
Yay, more rampant speculation.
I’ve met Jerome personally, he’s a wonderful guy. And I understand his feelings but he’s gotta’ remember who wrote this story about Roy getting upset.

Zach Karma
That is what is happening to Roy. He forced Zach off the team and now karma is coming around. Blame it on Zach.
Free markets have long been the basis for a legitimate - though rightly debated - economic policy framework. But they have become little more than a robotically-recited cultural catechism, a mindless mantra mumbled to mask the looting of the nation's resources that is the true purpose of Republican economic policy as demonstrated by the staggering upward transfers of wealth that inevitably occur under Republican regimes. A more complete, conspicuous, catastrophic, and irrefutable repudiation of right wing leaders, right wing policies, and right wing ideology could not possibly be contrived.
I'm sure humble Roy is still here.
He’s got a lot of stress probably. He’s still BRoy.
