It's funny
right before I read this I was working on this:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=23qg8gk
in addition to joel and andre and our exceptions we’d lose a draft pick or two. I agree with hollinger that andre has been making necessary adjustments to play in the blazers system, and he has been playing amazing individual ball too, but he still doesn’t have an outside shot.
I like it, although I'd adjust it slightly so Joel Przybilla goes to Orlando instead of Washington.

"They say it has no memory. That’s where I want to live the rest of my life. A warm place with no memory."
That was my post....thanks for putting it up.
He’s always been a big supporter of Portland and I have had the chance to have a beer with him (he like our Micros and Thai food), so I thought he might bite on that question.
Folks just don't get it
Roy doesn’t like playing with Andre because Andre is a jerk and Roy wants to win championships, not just spin his wheels while Andre draws another paycheck. Roy would be playing at an all star level if Cho would just get off his butt and get some real players around Roy.

where does the hate come from?
I can sense Dre hate eminating from you on a visceral level…

It started out as kind of a hobby that I just dabbled in and later it became an obsession

Maybe it was your goal
but you’ve gotten to the point of caricature with it. Not to mention that all evidence, both statistically and eyeball, point to Andre Miller being one of the very few bright spots with this team.
I feel sorry for Andre that he has to put up with this crap in Portland.

I've come to the conclusion that TIH is our resident troll.

If it was funny, or well thought out it would be one thing
It’s another thing.
dinasour type of guys choir boys
It was probably funny the first time, and he's living out the rest of his internet life hoping to recapture that one moment.
I don't care if it's funny if it's in regards to Miller and I have a life outside fo the internet

If you're not watching that many Blazer games
then honestly, why are you hanging around Blazersedge?
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
I don't take it seriously
and sometimes on other topics tominhawaii is witty as hell
ignacio
lol
Like 5% of the comments on this blog are well thought out. Why must I be held to higher standards than everyone else?

I don't troll
I hate Miller and I express my opinion. If I’m a troll than everyone that wants Nate fired is a troll and everyone who calls Aldridge soft is a troll.
Rich Cho is the Margaret Cho of GM's.
Andre is the frosting on a turd
Even if I didn’t hate Miller, he’s not an all star, he’s not a championship point guard, and the Blazers will never win anything with him as the starting point guard. I can care less if he’s the best thing going on this team. He’s still a jerk and the team is still going no where with him as the starting point guard.
Rich Cho is the Margaret Cho of GM's.
And what crap does Andre have to put up with?
If he’s reading this blog and my comments then he’s even dumber than I though. He shouldn’t care what some random fan in Hawaii thinks of him. It’s not like Jason Quick is telling him what I say about him on this blog.

Maybe you should get some help with that.
Seems to me that Miller has been willing to do what it takes to make the TEAM better, while Roy is only interested in making HIMSELF LOOK better. And in the process makes himself look childish, selfish and foolish. I loved Roy’s game as much as anyone else, but the fact is, he has to change the things he does to be effective.
Roy is making you look bad.
you have to hate him now too or you’re just a hypocrite.

Why would I care if I came off as a hypocrite
It’s the freaking internet. I’m on whatever side that is against Miller.

Did Andre sleep with your girlfriend Tom
Your assertions are not only ridiculous, they’re without merit. I guess Andre was the cancer that lead Mid Major Utah to the NCAA championship game right? I mean, it’s not like him being a Wooden Award finalist had anything to do with that team’s success – it was all Michael Doleac. And I guess that doesn’t mean anything because it wasn’t the NBA right Tom? I mean, the NCAA only has 350 teams and much biggest powerhouse programs.
If it wasn’t darned ’ol Andre, they would have won it. In fact, they probably would have been Kentucky 75-4.
I'm married, but she has way better taste than to sleep with a jerk like Andre Miller
Unlike Andre Miller, I’m not coasting off of some accomplishment from over 10 years ago. His greatest accomplishment in the NBA was NBA All-Rookie First Team. Brandon Roy is an All Star and the reason the Blazers are no longer called the Jail Blazers. Andre Miller is declining and a chemistry killer. I am not going to jump on his bandwagon no matter what he does.

You're living in the past, Tom
If the Blazers somehow were able to unload Miller and bring back all of Roy’s sidekicks (Martell, Blake, Trout, Bayless, etc.), Roy would still be completely ineffectual. Did you watch last night’s Blazers-Mavs game? Brandon Roy is dragging his left leg around the court like it’s an anchor. Sadly, his days as an NBA player—even an NBA role-player—appear numbered.
Andre Miller isn’t the problem. But Roy’s denial—and yours—require a scapegoat to explain his decline.
I still believe in Greg Oden. The Blazers' medical staff? Not so much.
I'd change my handle to "bringback'09," but I'm too lazy.
I was sleeping, will watch the game in about 4 hours
I’m not living in the past. I know Roy is hurt. Just because Roy is hurt, doesn’t mean I gotta start liking Miller. This team was as close as the Waltons before he became a Blazer and now they’re as divided as the McCourt family.
Everyone else is in denial. The best game the Blazers played this year was the game that Miller was suspended.
Perhaps Rod Strickland of the 2001 variety?
I'm a little confused by your tactics

It's a way for Tom to keep making every few threads all about him.
Good old fashioned internet narcissism, like the kid who acts out in class because nobody gives him attention at home.
I don't care what anyone says Tom, I like your posts
Not for the substance, but because this site becomes a dark place very easily and you bring consistent levity…thank you

Play Roy 48 a night.
It will get us a better draft pick and allow us to medically retire him sooner.

what is too soon?
I believe D-Miles was retired for basically the same thing… of course that blew up in our face.
witty statement here
I think we should make Roy the GM
Let him surround himself with hand-picked players and see how it goes. He’s been doing it passive-aggressive style since he came here, might as well give him the keys.
nice recognition of "passive-aggressive" possibility
If Oden does not give up on the Blazers, we should not give up on him.
Agreed. You genius!
I still believe in Greg Oden. The Blazers' medical staff? Not so much.
I'd change my handle to "bringback'09," but I'm too lazy.
I'd like to see Roy demand a trade
I just think it would be a funny situation.
Funny depressing, but funny.

lol...
what would the GM say?
“We tried to give you away for a bag of peanuts but there were no takers”
witty statement here
we release you from your contract !
Go sign with a team that appreciates you !
If Oden does not give up on the Blazers, we should not give up on him.
That doesn’t make sense though… unless the new CBA allows you to take guys off of the cap when you buy them out.
witty statement here
I'm feelin' pretty unhappy with the CBA lately,
Some of it seems ridiculous to me, particularly the minimal performance clauses. For that kind of money, you need to deliver. No wonder they want changes.
If Oden does not give up on the Blazers, we should not give up on him.
We need shooters
the whole problem right now is spacing
by CaptainSexyJacob on Dec 15, 2010 3:59 PM PST reply actions
Yeah.
What do you think the problem is?
Rudy and Batum were automatic from 3 last year, same with Wes…
Do you think it’s mental? Half of hitting the shot is mental. Maybe the coaching is affecting it.
by CaptainSexyJacob on Dec 15, 2010 4:14 PM PST up reply actions
Maybe Roy isn't creating enough space for the shooters like he once was?
Two sides to every coin right?
witty statement here
I read a quote not long ago that stated that the author hadn't seen a player's reputation fall as far as fast as Lebron's has
But Roy is fast approaching
