Funny Channing Frye interview with Rainbreak, a Portland film collective
Sketch Pad with your host Ty, with special guest Channing Frye.
My friends and I have been life long Trail Blazer fans. In recent years a buddy of mine actually became friends with Channing Frye while he was here in Portland. Channing is a class act, he agreed to do an interview with us to help support our film collective (www.rainbreak.com) and launch a new idea of ours.
What you are about to see is hopefully the first of many comical interviews with professional athletes.
The concept of Sketch Pad is simple, the host Ty (myself) and a famous athlete as his guest. Ty loves two things; sports and drawing. Each of his interviews ends with the guest walking away with a one of a kind sports caricature of themselves and a felling of humility.
We are hoping to startup an online series, something along the lines of Between Two Ferns.
We appreciate your views. We will have some current Blazers on soon.
Go Blazers
Thanks Ty

He never said, what kind of future it was.
"The game was delayed for over 15 minutes with 5:07 left in the second quarter after France's Nicolas Batum, who plays for the Portland Trail Blazers, dunked and twisted the rim. Volunteers and officials scrambled to put a new rim on the basket and reattach a net."

Hilariously weird.
"A bizarre and extremely rare hybrid Blazer/Laker fan, Timbo has always struggled to contain the Beast Within, like Dr. Jekyll, Bruce Banner, or Ted Kennedy." — Miled Animal
When I was younger I met, and did a caricature of Anthony Munoz
(Munoz is the NFL’s greatest Left Tackle ever. = 6’6" 280)
He was humorous, and funny just like Channing. actually came and found me to introduce himself, instead of me being the fawning admirer. Other thing that cracked me up is when he shook my hand, it was like your joke handshake. But opposite. His hand totally engulfed mine and made it look like he was throttling a GIJoe figure.
Props on your humor, and caricature, and music and everything but the chops and a mustache.
That is a weak facial hair assortment.
dinasour type of guys choir boys
Ha, thanks
Appreciate the comments. My facial hair will be different every time.

ha, nice.
friendly word of advice:
you guys need to supplement light-wise for the lessened f-stop on the zoom in. i’m talking specifically about the mcu cam on ty (you?). i’m assuming you’re shooting on a 7d because of the aps-c lens crop, amirite? that’s why those shots look darker. less open lens, less light received by the sensor, etc.
this is good stuff however— keep up the good work.

I'd put Tony Boselli over Munoz
but it’s close

No words
Hey Channing, I saw that interview you did on sketch pads
What happened?
The little keyboard was a nice touch. They should throw together some funny impromptu songs like on “Who’s line is it anyway?”

When did you first learn
that you couldn’t grow a beard?

so... wow...
I think Channing summed it up perfectly himself.

Channing must have a GREAT sense of humor.
That was very fun to watch. I’d LOVE to see you get Greg on there. He seems like he’d be pretty quick witted.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
You may be on to something there.
Guys, that was hilarious, and I don’t overuse that word. Get GO in there because laughter is the best medicine, if he doesn’t kill you. :)
Not bad but
too many predictable Ali G and Demetri Martin moments, and Demetri is not funny.
Oh!
and a Dax Shepard moment with the height joke.
Best part IMO
the credits. lol
I enjoyed it as a whole, but reading the credits brought the biggest smile to my face. :)

It's as if
Portland hipsters hijacked Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast?
I'll hold your seat till you get there. After that, you're on your own.
