Is It Really True?
As the season has begun, and my excitement for the NBA led me to purchase NBALP and renew my insider account on ESPN, a few questions have arisen.
1. I suspected something was wrong ever since his abysmal performances in the preseason. I remained cautious since he seemed to imply he was not trying at all. However, since Game 1 of the regular season I sensed something was amiss when he refused to attack the basket and appeared unable to beat anyone of the dribble. I actually cannot recall once this season where he was able to beat anyone off the dribble. These first few games were before he was playing such "heavy" minutes. I don't think its the minutes or resulting wear and tear. I think Roy is injured, or possibly overly cautious, as he seems to want us to think. This may be a lasting effect of the meniscus tear, who knows, but I maintain that something is wrong, and it may not be a pretty fix.
1a. Can this team progress further with Roy performing at this level from hear on out? What will need to happen for a championship to be within reach? Are any answers waiting on this roster? Can Batum be option #1a on a championship team? Possibly option 1b?
2. Has Lamarcus Aldridge really turned over a new leaf? Has LA taken that next step towards his burning desire to be called upon to play in a certain game, mid February? Certainly he has, at times, showcased improvements in every aspect of his game, most consistently in his effort. He attacks the basket more and seems to have shot more free throws these first 8 games than the first 13-14 games of last season. I think noticeable strides have been made in many aspects of his game.
3. Can someone please give some good 'ol speculation as to when my man GO is coming back to play? That's who i want to see most now.
Please weigh in below, I think these issues must be discussed, so don't hesitate to let it rip. (no pun intended)
ADDENDUM! Apparently Ben can read my mind...Since he just posted something's on the front page right as I wrote this, smh...I'll leave this up, but if asked to remove it for being redundant I will.

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEG OOOOOOOOOOOOOODEEEEEEEEEN
Brandon is done.. and will never live up to his contract obligations... wesley mathews contract
hes finnished Trade Brandon Roy.
The Faith don't panic, the Faith freaks out, burns out small farms and villages in the name of the Faith.
Brandon is not done...he may or may not live up to his contract depending on how you measure it...Wesley Matthews is a 6th man
he’s not finished, don’t trade Brandon Roy
(Disclaimer: I am not saying Brandon Roy is untouchable, but I haven’t seen one actual trade proposal involving BRoy. I’m tired of criticism without ideas. I’m tired of people indiscriminately bashing the face of this franchise)
no one would trade for roy's contract right now
a four year max deal for a guy with 2 bad knees. good luck moving that.
This poll needs more options...
…Brandon Roy is now option 3 or 4 at best on a championship level team.
We obviously don’t currently have anyone on the roster who can replace his play of 2 yrs ago or the apparent upward trajectory at that time.
There are players out there we could add to the roster who could provide scoring punch/slashing ability at the 2, which is one of the things this team needs even more now that Brandon’s inability to get to the rim makes this squad even more of a jump shooting team than they were before.
