Joel Przybilla, may come back earlier than expected according to the Oregonian's Jason Quick
Quick during the Podcast, "
My gut is telling me (Joel Przybilla) is going to come back before the November 26th date they have set ... he has maintained, even since training camp, he can go out and give the team 10 to 12 to 15 minutes a game ... I can't tell right now that Joel is coming off two major knee surgeries."
Quick Goes on to say that Joel had several long discussions during practice today between Jay Jensen, and his doctor who performed the surgery.
Nate asserts however that he doesn't want Joel back until he is fully healthy, not because he is wanted due to a lack of depth.

Bring Joel Back for 10 -12 min a game
thats all we need right now from him anyways. Same with Oden for that matter.

My thoughts exactly
I love Joel. He’s got the heart of a lion.
Fabricio Oberto and Ryan Gomes: Blazer Legends
Well are they not bringing Joel back because they don't want to be blamed if he gets hurt?
Or are they really worried he is going to get hurt coming back a few weeks earlier than expected?
If he says he can play, I think we need to consider it.
Blazers are hypercautious about Joel, which is hyperannoying...
If he’s going in practice and banging (which he is), and he says he’s ready to go in a game (which he does), then TURN HIM LOOSE.
"A bizarre and extremely rare hybrid Blazer/Laker fan, Timbo has always struggled to contain the Beast Within, like Dr. Jekyll, Bruce Banner, or Ted Kennedy." — Miled Animal
But it's Blazer's management, and not you or anyone here, that gets blamed if he gets injured again.
DO.THINGS.RIGHT. When Joel goes out and gets his medical degree, he can make medical decisions for himself. Until then, how about we at least pretend like we have faith in the medical and training staff to make this comeback permanent by restricting him to only practice before he goes in to a real game situation where he’ll push himself even harder (on top of continuing to work in practice).

Gotta agree with this a 100%
Players’ judgement is important and should be considered, but the doctors are just as important if not more. Don’t let him in prematurely just because Joel thinks he should be able to handle it. Chances are, there are still reasons to keep him out of games.
Blazers basketball? Just basketball you say? More like a way of life

Get him back, and keep him away from Jensen!
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
because Jay's treatment has somehow prevented Przy from returning much earlier than anyone expected, last spring?

Let him play!
just give him double knee braces….the metal kind that offensive linemen wear…embedded with spikes, razor blades, and broken glass…
"LUUUUUUUUUUUUKE"! RIP #20
Why aren't knee braces more common?
I go to PSU and more than once, I’ve seen football practices where ALL the linemen are wearing double knee braces to avoid injury. It doesn’t seem to slow them down much. I wonder why this isn’t standard practice in sports.
I would much rather have Oden or Priz slowed down a tiny bit by braces, but able to play the whole season without worry of knee injury.

and when one of his teammates runs into those braces?
like Greg ran into Maggette’s knee brace back in ’09

from that same article/podcast
— “… (Nicolas Batum) was really beating himself up after the Chicago game.”
Good to hear. Nic and Wesley should be working out together

This is huge news!
Quick’s gut has never been wrong.

he said he saw Joel shake hands with the doctor
which could mean anything
I thought the most-revealing tidbit from the podcast was when Nate diagrammed the final play in his office and told Jason that Roy didn’t drive against KD like he was supposed to. That’s about as close to the coach throwing the star under the bus as we’re ever likely to hear about from the PF

Thur Nov 18 vs. Denver seems the perfect comeback game.
Of course, the fact that I have tickets for that game has nothing at all to do with my recommendation.
