New Rule idea
With the GO injury tsunami hitting us now, I have an idea for a new rule in the NBA to benefit teams that are hamstrung by these injuries.
Remember the first year we had greg and he was injured before he played? His contract was essentially postponed a year if I recall correctly. Why not have that always be the case? Better yet, how about this: If a player is ruled to have a season ending injury (by an independent doctor) causing them to miss say 60 games, their contract is put on hold for a year. They no longer count against the cap for that year and their contract is postponed. Alternatively, if a player plays less than 22 games in a given year, the team has an option they can exercise to forgo that delay and simply pay the player 1/2 their expected pay for that year and not have the contract delayed.
What do you think?

His contract was not postponed a year.
He still gets paid. I think there is a rule that allows the team to sign an extra player though, and not have his salary count against the cap.
Nope

You do not recall correctly.
my bad. shouldn't it be, though? they are not playing for a year and they signed up to play for you for a year.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".
...no seriously--stop.
