We have all heard of the curse of being on the cover of Sports Illustrated, or the Madden game, but I think the Blazers might have their own personal curse. Each year we hear from the Blazers, and specifically from Mike Barrett, about 1 or 2 players who look awsome during the summer pickup games. Then once the season starts, those players the last few years seem to have gone down with injuries. This year it is Brandon who in the summer Barrett said he looked like a teenager and was playing effortlessly. The year before it was Greg and Nic, both were getting glowing reports from Barrett during the offseason, both went down. The year before? Webster looked great... Just food for thought.
