The Basketball Jones Talking About Brandon Roy
Roy is mentioned as one of the "losers of the week." Starts at about the 9:30 mark. Skeets and Tas praise Roy's toughness, but then consider the possibility that we may have seen the old Roy for the last time. Also, in regards to the playoffs, they describe the Blazers as being on the outside looking in, saying that the West is just too difficult.
Interesting to hear a perspective outside of Portland. Also one of the few times I've ever seen Skeets and Tas serious before.

The way this news was delivered has totally undercut its importance.
By Brandon apparently just letting it slip and Quick posting a short article over the weekend, the major revelation could not have been delivered in a more bizarre manor.
Total screw-up by the Blazers to have it happen this way. Slowly but surely, people will realize this is the biggest Blazer news in years: our franchise superstar, for whom we have tailored our current team, is no more, and it is permanent. The Roy era is over, and it’s anyone’s guess what the new era is.

a team era
I don’t think Roy’s reduced role will affect us as severely as all that. Given time to gel we’ll improve.
I didn't say things will necessarily get worse.
I’m just saying it is a mammoth change in direction for the team.

I think it's time to unleash dre in the full court.
With track stars like aldridge batum rudy and wesley he has alot of weapons
No one in the world can beat me at RBI baseball 3(nes).
Sure hope Nate thinks of this idea...
No excuse for this team not to run now…
you mean, other than the usual alibis
“but this is the 4th game in 5 nights”
“we gave up the defensive rebound and took the ball out of the net, again”
“too many turnovers, we need better ball control”
There are always excuses, it’s not natural for players to keep running and running. It’s gotta be drilled into them or they’ll just grab their shorts
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
Man, I felt like I took Brandon for granted
when he was playing at the high level that he was. It’s sad.
