Dave said it'd be cool if I posted this so here goes. I'm the executive director of Sports Fans Coalition out in Washington, D.C. We're a nonprofit fighting for fans' rights on issues like stadiums, media blackouts and ticket prices. Since we started last year, we've been fighting Comcast over their treatment of Blazers fans. One of our board members flew out in February to testify on behalf of Blazers fans in front of the Oregon state legislature. And since I started, I often refer to the situation in Portland when blogging and doing media appearances. As you all know, many Blazers fans are getting a raw deal when it comes to watching the games on TV.
That's where you come in. We're looking for a passionate Blazers fan who would be willing to serve as a chapter chair. Someone who can speak up about this issue and rally others for the cause. If you're interested, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. My only goal here is to stick up for Blazers fans and try to fix a situation that has gone on far too long. Thanks for listening.
